Custom 2005 TRX 450R, like new This quad was purchased brand new from Canyon Honda 100% box stock. It was brought home then stripped to the frame and built up as it is now with zero time on the clock. The motor has never been opened or messed with to retain the factory reliability. The cam however is not original as the motor has the complete OEM Honda racing provisions. The over all goals for this quad was to have a reliable dual sport (track/trail/dune/moon) quad that will safely run on pump gas in the event race fuel is unavailable on remote locations. The budget was set at $30,000. The approach was speed through suspension technology rather then unreliable HP. I found the limiting factor on any stock quad essentially came down to running the suspension as fast as I could. The end result is a bike that will float over wash board trails At 70mph and will climb the steepest hills like a mountain goat on crack; while delivering sure footed confidence and drivability to the most novice of riders by means of suspension technology and a smooth torque curve. The components of this build were intended to work together to create a machine beyond the sum of its individual parts. It has never been rolled, wrecked or left in the sun. It starts cold from one kick And has no scratches under the skid plate or cracks. Stock Honda front lights are inop as the HIDs would wash them out. Owner/builder: I worked in Porsche Motor sports development, traveling with multimillion dollar race teams. I am currently building a sport plane designed for F1 pylon racing. Between the cars/quads/planes I know I need to take medicine. I am listing this quad at 28 cents on the dollar, 100% of all proceeds will go back into my dysfunction fund.
