Up for sale is a hard to find, limited production 1974 Karmann Ghia Convertible in good restorable condition with just over 51000 original miles. The car has had 3 owners and still maintains some of its original features such as the original engine, seat covers, trunk liner, door panels, and sapphire am/fm radio which still works, original glass and rather shabby carpet. I even believe the tan convertible top which is in excellent condition; the headliner and top boot are original to the car. It has brand new tires with less than 100 miles, new brakes and a new carburetor. The bumpers and “nose” are in good condition. The car does have some rust issues, as almost all Ghia’s do. The driver side rear ¼ floor pan needs to be replaced (included in the sale), the dash face has a crack as does the dash pad and the clock does not work. The inner rockers also need some attention with regard to rust issues. The car will also need to eventually be painted due to several partial re-sprays over the years, but much of the original Zambesi green paint still remains. The battery area in the engine compartment is still solid, with just some surface rust due to some of the paint missing. The car starts right up and runs very well. An aftermarket steering wheel has also been added. Unable to find the time and money to continue with the restoration .The ghia is also listed for sale locally, so the owner has the right to end the auction early. Obviously, this car is being sold AS IS with no warranty expressed or implied.
