My dad is the original owner of the car and purchased it new in August 1970 from Dodge City in Denver, Colorado. The car came from the factory with the following options: CAR: Dodge Charger 500 - 8 -2 Door Hardtop MODEL YEAR: 1970. ENGINE: 318cid 2-bbl V8 TRANSMISSION: 3-Speed Automatic TIRES: G78x14 White Sidewall AXLE: 3.23 Rear Axle Ratio INTERIOR: Vinyl Bucket Seats, Vinyl Trim, White Interior. AIR CONDITIONING: Equipped with Factory Air Conditioning PAINT: Light Blue. ROOF: WhiteVinyl This Charger is a matching numbers car and has the original 318 that it came with from the factory. It is a rare example of a 1970 light blue “White Hat Special” Charger in close to original condition. The mileage on the car is 114K miles. It has been repainted once in its lifetime in the original color and it has an updated radio and 6-CD changer. The bumpers and trim pieces have been re-chromed. The headlights work and the air conditioner makes cold air. The center console and dash lights function correctly but the dome light does not come on. The vinyl top is original and in great condition. The body is very straight with only a small amount of rust behind the left rear wheel as shown in the photos. The car has been stored in a garage for the last 15 to 20 years of its life. This Charger starts right away and runs very smoothly with a beautiful sound. It is very clean and a real head turner wherever it goes! Some maintenance and restoration work was done on the car in 2008-9, about 1000 miles ago.
