NO RESERVE. 1992 25th Anniversary Rally Sport Chevy Camaro Convertible. You are looking at my project car that I bought 2 and a half years ago for my daughter and I to work on together for her first car when she turned 16. Needless to say she never wanted to help and because she is on the shorter side she hated sitting so low and not being able to see the long front end that Camaros have. She is now 17 and drives a jeep and this project is left taking up my garage space. When I bought it it was inspected and the sellers daily driver. I never licensed it for the road so it has not been inspected since I bought it in 2009. It has a 305 and runs like a champ. I test drove it for a half hour before buying and it ran strong with no issues. The guy I bought it from said the automatic transmission had been rebuilt around 160,000 miles. The only rust on the car was two quarter size rust scallops on each door and a little rust along the edge of the rear spoiler. It was all grounded down and primered. The paint job is new but I was not happy with the way it turned out. the hood needs redone. Interior is in need of cleaning and the dash is cracked. Power windows and locks work fine. Black convertible top is ok but if you are restoring I would buy a new one on ebay for $300. Front ground effect has a tear on the corner where it caught on the trailer unloading to put into storage. Car fires right up with no issues that I know of. Tires are good. I have all the lights, emblems, etc. They were removed to paint last year. The radio is a cd player that was brand new a year ago when we installed it but today when I pulled out the car for pics it didnt turn on so I'm not sure what is going on - maybe the wire harness is loose? NO REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE TURNED DOWN, I am not putting back in storage so come and get it. It will sell no reserve. I reserve the right to end the auction if I sell locally. I will be happy to make arrangements for you to see it- just email me.On Sep-17-11 at 18:51:50 PDT, seller added the following information: * PLEASE READ - I AM GETTING QUESTIONS DAILY THAT ARE ASKING ME IF THE CAR CAN BE DRIVIN BACK TO THEIR HOME. PLEASE UNDERSTAND I BOUGHT THE CAR IN 2009 AND IT HAD CURRENT INSPECTION AND DROVE GREAT. I BOUGHT IT FOR $3200 AND SPENT MANY MAN HOURS PREPARING IT TO BE PAINTED. I NEVER DID ANYTHING WITH THE ENGINE, BRAKES, ETC. THERE WAS NO NEED TO. I DID NOT REGISTER IT, HAVE IT INSPECTED OR EVEN INSURE IT. I BOUGHT IT FOR MY DAUGHTER WHO CLEARLY DID NOT LIKE HOW SHE COULD NOT SEE THE LONG FRONT END (LEARNING TO DRIVE). I BOUGHT HER A JEEP AND SHE LOVES IT SO THE CAMARO IS FOR SALE. FOR EVERYONE THAT ASKS IF IT CAN BE DRIVIN MY ANSWER IS SURE BUT CLEARLY NO. I WOULDN'T EVEN GET IN MY 2011 AND HEAD OUT ON A 4 OR 5 HOUR TRIP WITHOUT AN INSPECTION, CHECKING BRAKES, FLUIDS, ETC. I SURELY WOULDN'T HOP IN A CAR AND DRIVE. I WAS SELLING THIS AS A PROJECT CAR TO GET READY AND DRIVE. YES I CAN PUT THE TAILLIGHTS AND TURN SIGNALS IN (IT WILL TAKE LESS THAN 30 MIN). IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO INSPECT, INSURE, REGISTER ETC.THIS TIME OF YEAR I DO NOT EXPECT TO GET TOP DOLLAR BUT MY 18 YEAR OLD NEIGHBOR SAID HE CAN COME UP WITH $2500 SO IF IT DOES NOT BRING AT LEAST THAT ON EBAY I WILL END THE AUCTION FOR HIM. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME.
