Vehicle Detail
This is a CR500 engined NT650 Hawk. I built this bike after reading about the Tulda 500 that Dr Robert Tuldie built in the '90s. At the time I was racing in the GLRRA series in Michigan. The first version of this bike had the motor solid mounted and it shook so bad that my hands and feet went numb after one lap. It would also cause my vision to completely blur. I totally rebuilt the bike modeling the frame after my '94 Honda RS125 rubber isolating the front of the motor. Once the bike was almost complete GLRRA went bankrupt and I was done racing. The bike then sat in my garage for over 10 years. The motor had never been run after being totally blueprinted, ported and head work done. I started it for the first time last summer with the idea of doing track days, but I have neither the time nor the money. This bike will easily make over 70 hp and weighs less than 250 lbs. It has a fox shock, custom subframe and seat cowl, cast iron front rotor, 6 piston race caliper, custom rear wheel hub (to allow higher gearing), CR250 radiator, FMF fatty pipe (also comes with two pipes hand build by Kevin Cameron of Cycle World fame), and a set of Delta Rollers (bike doesn't have a kick start). What it needs: Seat pad, a few minor brackets, whatever type of fairing you chose to install and paint. Somewhere along the line the Daytona temp gauge god damaged so it will also need one of those. Obviously this bike is not street legal and there is no way to make it that way (unless you wanted to carry the 80lb rollers around on your back), but it does come with a clear Mi title.
