1954 Jaguar XK120 FHC 681332 J3457 JL20641 18 January 1954 This Fixed head Coupe is a documented frame off mostly complete restoration. Old English White; Numbers Matching with a Heritage certificate. Simply missing just an Interior and Everything works. This car has been finished with attention to detail. Tribar Head Lights as well as Spot lights all work and look like new. All chrome has been refinished and makes this FHC a great looking car. This is a documented restoration with Pictures. The Frame was sand Blasted and Acid dipped. Painted in the original Semi-Gloss Black. All new Fuel and Hydraulic lines as well as Master Cylinder. New Rear Springs with Gaiters as well as new adjustable Spax front shocks. Front wheels are converted to Disk brakes with Cooper Craft calipers. New rear brakes and Drums. All steering linkage was rebuilt, painted and has new hardware and bushings. Extra Parts, Pads and original brakes parts are part of this sale. New wire wheels with New Michelin Tires. Old steel wheels will be supplied with sale. The Original Engine is not installed in the car. The ORIGINAL ENGINE IS available and will include as part of this sale. The installed engine was a Special Build using a 3.8L E-Type Block and a Mark 10 Head: Ported and fitted with a pair of HD-8s (2 Inch Su) This Head is also marked as original F-1600. This Head can be fitted with a 3 carb set if desired. The engine runs smoothly and the car has only driven around the block since the restoration. The exhaust is a new Twin Bell and sounds great. 2 Repro Lucas Batteries with Lucas Battery covers. See photos. The Original Head is Rebuilt and ready for an Installation at the buyer’s option. Marked F-1600. The original Block, sump and various parts will be provided. The original Carb and Intake is rebuilt and Polished and included . The Body was repaired with new sheet Metal from Lawrence and Sons out of the UK. New wood floor boards, Wiring, New Dash and all rebuild instruments with silkscreens. It is a straight car needing minor adjustments to the doors (New Shims Supplied). The Door frames are rehomed and all new Glass . The rear window which is an original scratch free piece of glass. Marked Triplex. All new rubber is supplied to finish this restoration. The side glass had several sets of original glass as well as new. Moon glass and frames come with all re chromed original locks, window winding chrome and look new. There is matching door capping that has never been installed. The Dash is spectacular . All mechanical items including steering, fuel pump front steering rubber is all new or rebuilt and work as intended. A truly nice precise restoration. Also included is the headliner which is partially installed as well as rear sidewall lighted panels with matching headliner material. Seats frames and seat tracks are also included. There are lots of extra parts that will go with the car. See photos. Several sets of voltage regulators et. Braided wire, and a few old switches. Keep them as spares because they are hard to find. Too many parts to list. The car is included on the XKdata.com website. Frame number 681332 This XK will need some minor adjustments to the doors for correct fitting. There is a small area below the left headlight that will need repair and paint blended to repair. This will be a easy repair and any good paint shop should be able to repair. I will supply the paint code. New Door shims are supplied. Once finished, just a carpet set and leather seats are all this is required to finish and enjoy. Mileage says 89831 but I have no Idea if it is correct. The Heritage certificate is included and the car comes with a full history of owners post 1971 including original Bills of Sale/ Title of each owner dating to 1971. I made contact with the first known owner who verified who he bought the car from. (email supplied) This person owned this XK as his first car newly enlisted in the navy (Groton Ct). The owner previous to him is now deceased and the trail stops there. This sale is as is with no warrantee. A $2000 dollar deposit at Auctions end and the balance due in 7 Business days.
