Vehicle Detail
1990 Oldsmobile 88 Custom Cruiser "Woody" Wagon - 1 Owner - 20k ORIGINAL MILES Thanks for looking at our auction - THIS IS A RARE CAR. . . .and they are definitely getting harder and harder to find. . . . . .This is a 1990 Oldsmobile 88 Custom Cruiser Station Wagon with an AMAZING 20,000 ORIGINAL MILES. . . and is from an estate of an elderly woman in Greenwich,CT (her birth date on the title is 03/20/1920 making her 91 years old) - the car was owned driven ONLY by her. . . she lived in whats known as "the back country" of Greenwich. . .a VERY wealthy town. . . THIS IS A ONE OWNER CAR - when we bought it from the estate it was in a locked garage with the keys in the ignition (it had not been started / driven in a year or so) we charged the battery overnight, we pumped the gas a few times and she fired right up. . . . the body and interior are in great condition . . . .and the mileage works out to about 1,010 miles per year) . . . this is a beautiful car. . .really makes a statement. . .would make a great beach or surf wagon. . . . .it features an 307 V8 engine (5.0L), automatic transmission with overdrive, a/c - p/w - p/s - p/b - p/locks - p/seat - cruise - RARE factory Oldsmobile alloys (all center caps are present - all in great shape) - am/fm/cass - power rear door window (rear tailgate opens both ways) - the third row flip up seat in the rear and HAS NEVER BEEN USED STILL HAVE THE DEALER PLASTIC FILM ON IT. . . .the rear cargo area NEVER USED. . . . car has little or no rust. . .it runs and drives great. . . is 100% dead STOCK. . .it retains it's original paint and was always garaged, the wood decal overall looks good (NO LIFTING, BUBBLES OR FADING) - it's bright white with medium blue velour interior. . . .interior LOOKS BRAND NEW. . .NO rips NO fading NO cracked dash NO sagging headliner. . .it was NEVER SMOKED IN (lighter and ashtray unused) . . .the interior still "glistens" if you know what I mean . .THATS HOW CLEAN IT IS spare tire, jack and wrench are all unused, other than a few minor dings, bumps and scrapes the body is REALLY nice. . .little or no rust in rear wheel/spare tire holder bottom (VERY common to rust here and there is little or none). . . . chrome bumpers are in GREAT shape (these were prone to rust) one over rider "bumperette" has some surface rust. . .and the rear bumper plastic insert in cracked and needs replacement - the car is riding on FOUR LIKE BRAND NEW Kumho whitewall tires . . .AND it has a full tank of gas (that's how we bought it) . . .you can see from the photos the paint is VERY shiny and is VERY presentable. . . door panels and jambs are all in EXCELLENT condition . . . it also has the original factory owners manual and paperwork - the engine starts quickly and runs smoothly and at the right temperature and appears to have no leaks and it runs with no smoke or engine noises, it has typical minor bumps, scrapes, dings, rust, soft dents you would find with any 20+ year old car, and it had a few lovingly touched up spots here and there (with factory GM touchup). . . . .because this car just turned 20 years old it can be registered / insured as an antique / classic - which is very very inexpensive, this Oldsmobile 88 Custom Cruiser starts at just $850 and sold NO RESERVE. It has THE ORIGINAL 1990 Connecticut title and bill of sale - OVERALL this is a great rare car at a great price, these are getting harder and harder to find , most of these large GM wagons were either Caprice Classics, Buick Estate Wagons, Pontiac Parisiennes or Oldsmobile Custom Cruisers. . . .TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THE OLDSMOBILE HAD THE LOWEST PRODUCTION NUMBERS OF THIS LINE. . . . .Feel free to ask any questions. . . . .overall this car is in very very good condition. . . . . Thank You!! one minor point to mention...this car has a 5-digit odometer - on October 23rd, 2000 someone at the Connecticut Emissions Station inadvertently entered the mileage as 175,000 when in fact it was supposed to be 17,500 that is what the Autocheck shows. the CARFAX shows the history as follows (5/17/96 - 9,476 MILES) (7/28/98 - 13,000 MILES) (10/23/00 - 175,000 MILES) - was supposed to be 17,500 (1/5/2008 - 20,250 MILES) . . . .so CLEARLY it was a comma in the wrong place (please email us for copy of the CARFAX). . .just to be REAL sure, we have an official signed State of Connecticut odometer statement listing miles are 020,000 PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE BIDDING TO OWN THE CAR, NOT BIDDING TO WIN THE CHANCE TO COME AND KICK THE TIRES AND THEN DECIDE IF YOU WANT IT, PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING, WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANYHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, FULL PAYMENT DUE WITHIN 3 DAYS FROM AUCTION CLOSE, TITLE AND BILL OF SALE WILL BE OVERNIGHTED TO YOU ONCE PAYMENT HAS CLEARED WE CAN ASSIST WITH SHIPPING - WE DO NOT HAVE A BUY IT NOW PRICE - THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING
