I’ve decided to sell my 1970 Honda SL 175 , I only have two left from my collection and now I have just to many toys so this one has to go too.. About 4 years ago I took this bike completely apart and did a refurbishing job . Its always been garage kept in a controlled environment , so most of the chrome is still nice for its age .. I did not do the engine as it ran so well prior to the tear down and as you know Honda’s are bullet proof anyway. The only issue I had is the kick starter had a minor slip in one certain spot when kick starting but never failed to start. You will need to put a battery in it as the battery that was in it died. I would strongly recomend that you pull the carbs and did a cleanning on then prior to starting .. I recomend on few other things as listed below.. Things I’ve done 1, frame off , complete refinishing of frame factory silver 2, Every bolt , nut replace or polished back to a nice gloss 3, paint with true candy topaz orange tri stage color from (PPG) 4, New Front forks, you will have to add oil as I never driven this bike only at vintage bike shows around the parking lot. 5, Complete tune up with carbs cleaned , now in saying this its been sitting for a while and I would recommend to go thru the fuel system again prior to starting this bike. The gas has an old smell to it. Its been over a year since i've started this bike its been stored in the garage .. 6, factory owners manual 7, factory tool kit 8, A factory sale’s brochure 9, New chain 10, New brake levers 11, Aftermarket correct frock brace (70’s) 12,New mirrors 13, complete seat frame redone with a aftermarket correct seat cover , very nice seat 14, factory parts book (list) and a copyed parts catalog 15, There is much more I forgot Now in saying all this , this bike is not perfect for a almost 42 years old but it has won its share of shows and its been a conversation piece . I will sell this bike at NO RESERVE !!!! Because you wont be able to hear it run but I assure you its does !!!!…I just dont want to mess with it anymore and its time for someone else to enjoy this bike...MAYBE JUST TO SIT THERE AND LOOK AT IT .. lol!!! So you give an offer of what you want to pay and its sold... I assure you again this is a fine example of an early vintage 70’s dirt bike that is street legal. I do have the big brother of this bike that I just can’t part with it at all,,, a 1971 SL350 just as nice!! I may have some extra parts I’ll look for, brake shoes and maybe some other things. I do have this bike listed local so I RESERVE !! the right to END!!!! this auction EARLY.. , so if you want to know what I’m willing to part with it, $2000.00 or obo,,,would take it. Its not that I want to sell it I kind of need the room for a new toy. Last week I watch one go for over 2k that didn't look near as good as this one..I only have a bill of sales for the bike .. The state of Alabama motorist only needs a title from 1975 and up , bill of sale only prior 1975..
