Great Running Project 1963 Giulietta Spider A California car that would make a fantastic driver. I purchased this little Alfa from the previous owner in northern California. Since then, I have been working on it little by little, and enjoying driving when possible. I've accrued many additional parts during my ownership of this vehicle. Buy-it-now price will include all of these rare and expensive parts, including an extra unassembled engine with new Mahle piston/liner set installed, a pair of DCOE's with manifold & airbox, several grilles and a brand new front disc brake conversion kit from Centerline Alfa. Please scroll to the bottom for the full list of parts. The car is registered and up-to-date. It has a salvaged title, because of the removal of its drivetrain for another restoration project. The previous owner saved it from the junkyard and had the frame checked out when bringing it out of salvage. The car has since been upgraded to a 1600 engine with solex carb and Bosh starter and generator, mated to a 5 speed. The body was restored in the early 90's but there are signs of age and less than proper restoration methods. Floor boards should be replaced, prior repairs were not properly done, but it has no visual rust holes. There is a stress crack near the driver side radiator air inlet. Though not easily seen, it has slight damage to chin area of mask and there has also been body work done on the driver side, front corner and front rocker panel. The trunk floor is solid but has been repaired without the ribbed panel. The instruments were rebuilt in 1995, fuel gauge is not currently accurate. This car is a great candidate for restoration or a daily driver but is by no means a perfect car. The original convertible top is fully functional but needs a new back window and minor repairs. The side windows and door hardware are currently uninstalled, but in good shape and included. There is one crack in the windshield on the passenger side, but otherwise in good shape. Headrest seats with locking seatbacks are from a Fiat 124. Rear three-and-a-half door panels are included. The stock four wheel drum brakes have been recently serviced but the proportioning valve and master cylinder need to be rebuilt or replaced as the rear brakes are disabled. The car sits on original powder-coated Fergat wheels, and includes 3 spares. Compression: 158, 150, 147, 159 (front cyl to rear) 8-26-2011 The vehicle is sold as-is, with no warranty.
