1948 Chevy 5 Window Truck-½ ton This is just a 7 day auction. So if you want the truck, please act now! I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle. This is one of those items: We received this cute little restoration project from the owner whom had it for a long time since 1982. He decided to lower the top by a couple of inches but he never completely finished it. The truck has the original straight 6 engine, which turns but we have not run the truck. It is a standard transmission with the shift on the column. The truck is a Texas truck and comes with a clear Texas title. Being a 1948 truck, it is very solid and only has a couple of spots of rust on the back fender and on the floor board. The frame, hood, front fenders, doors, running boards and the bed are all solid (they only have some surface rust). The only glass we have is two curved side glass that are brand new. The truck needs a complete restoration and what you see in the pictures is what we have received from the owner. So please bring your trailer and we will help you load it up. The truck will be sold with no reserve. All the inspections must be done before the auction closes. Remember that this classic truck is 63 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person. Your bid is your contract. We require a $300 non-refundable deposit immediately after the bidding closes, and the remaining balance within a week.
