CLEAN 1977 SUZUKI GS750 THIS BIKE WILL SELL, NO RESERVE Just to get this out of the way, yeah I know, the seat is high-dollar, lol, held together with man's best friend DUCT TAPE. It's terrible. Why am I selling? I'm ready for a change- want something more sporty. Now, on to the important stuff... Daily rider for past year+, had <5,000 miles when I found it in a barn a year ago in TX off of CraigsList. Have put 8,000 miles on it since, very dependable, fun to ride. As you can see in the pics, it's not a perfect bike--it's 34 years old and I think has aged gracefully. Note the dent in the tank front left; and smaller dent on the right side of the tank. Minor nicks/scratches on tank may or may not be visible. As visible in the pics the left engine side has some light abrasion, was there when I bought it. Wheels are in great shape, though there are some surface rust speckles marring the chrome. The trip reset knob on the instrument cluster is missing--broke off when the scratches on the engine happened? BUT all instruments do function properly. It does burn a little oil, and the rear shocks need to be replaced. All lights and switches function as they're supposed to. The fuel petcock has been completely rebuilt, but for some reason allows fuel to flow after engine shuts off. Cycleteks in Sanford, FL rebuilt it, and suspects a fragment of the plastic fuel straws above the petcock inside the tank may have lodged in the diaphragm after putting a couple of miles on it, but that'll be something for the new owner to pursue. The brass cutout valve I installed does the job for me, especially since I haven't been able to find a new petcock w/straws. When I first got it in August 2010: new tires. Rear is ready to be replaced now, front has plenty of tread. rebuilt carbs, replaced all fuel & vacuum lines. new OEM air cleaner complete new brakes front and rear. Replaced pads. New brake lines; rebuilt front/rear calipers; rebuilt front/rear master cylinder. Rear master cylinder is from later model, has a separate fluid reservoir. Needs new rear pads now, front are fine. About 4k miles ago: new wheel bearings, front and rear (preventive maintenance, the old weren't quite dead). new OEM o-ring chain and new sprockets. new plugs and plug caps. I've been quite happy with the bike- it runs equally well in traffic and on the highway, runs nice and smooth. I've topped it at 109 on the few occasions I felt reckless, lol. I've done my best to present an accurate picture; any questions please don't hesitate to ask. As I mentioned, I ride this bike daily and mileage at the end of the auction will reflect that. THANKS FOR LOOKING, AND HAPPY BIDDING!
