PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE BIDDING!!!!!!! Two weeks ago I sold my 1998 TL1000R here on ebay and before I could finish the sale, I went to ride the bike for a quick battery system charging ride and noticed for the first time a deep knock in the lower end of the motor. I have been wreching and riding for over 20 years and fear the worse of a big end bearing has spun as the worse case scenario, to a potential cam tensioner as the best case, however, I feel it is spun bearing scenario. Since it just started today I stopped the motor immediatly so to potentilly salvage any internal parts if someone wishes to salvage this motor. Therefore, I am relisting as a DAMAGED MOTOR, but to what extend I do not know, nor do I care. The bike does fire right up.This would be a good opportunity to buy a great motorcycle outside of the now motor issue. A motor swap would be a great option, or if you wish to rebuild as a project as well. The parts alone are worth the starting bid if I parted out the entire bike, I just choose to not be that aggrivated as my business life is very busy right now. I have owned the bike for nearly two years and as been a great motorcycle and a blast to ride, but unfortunately now needs work. I did all the mods myself as listed below.
