Vehicle Detail

Hello all and thank you for viewing my rare diesel Toyota Camry. This is the last diesel Toyota I have left from my stable of 3. This is my current daily driver. I have owned this car since late 2008 and have put a lot of money and parts into it. I purchased the car out of Houston, Texas and subsequently I do not know very much history on the Camry. I am very familiar with Toyota diesels and I love driving such a well built car but alas tough times and my decision to attend graduate school trump owning 2 vehicles. Just a quick bit about me: I hate leaks, creaks, and other noises coming from my vehicles. I don't like dirty/greasy engine compartments or undersides of cars. Then you don't know when somethings starts leaking or got forbid you have to work on it and the car is covered in grime. This is the list of what work was performed or replaced on the car when I first purchased it: - Rack and pinion bellows - Polyurethane control arm bushings (both front control arms) - New drain plug - Premium wheel bearing in driver side - Interstate MT-34R Battery - Premium Gates Belts (2) - Oil Cap - Fuel filter - Timing Belt - Camshaft oil seal - Oil pump oil seal - Crankshaft oil seal - Alternator oil feed hose - Alternator oil return hose - Exact fit wiper blades - Glow plug temperature sensor - Exhaust gasket - Diesel fuel return hose - Factory Toyota valve cover gasket - Front engine mount - Rear engine mount - Replaced front struts - A/C charged and working - Front rotors turned - Pulse pump added in line after filter to injection pump (easy priming of fuel system when it's needed) Call anytime with questions: Travis 904-234-5479 I drove the car for some time after the above work and then the turbo front oil seal failed. I had the turbo rebuilt and back down the road I went. Within the last 4 months the car started running rough. I found the injection pump had developed a leak. One morning the car wouldn't start. Off to the diesel shop where I had the injection pump removed, thoroughly gone through, and it was determined that it only needed to be resealed. The pump was installed, freshly resealed, and the timed in. Once again, back down the road I went. I also just had the front strut upper bearings replaced due to clicking when turning. The alignment was also set after this repair. When performing this repair I found out the steering rack is leaking and will need to be replaced soon. The tires are roughly 60% in tread life, if not more. The brakes are great all the way around with the front Cruise control works. A/C works. Radio works. Oil always changed with Rotella T. The car also comes with a spare 2.0l engine that consists of a complete block that needs a rebuild, spare head casting, intake, exhaust, alternator (good-tested), injection pump (needs rebuild), turbo (good-tested), and some other misc parts/pieces. This will all fit in the trunk of the car if you chose to drive it where your going. Along with the engine parts I have another engine mount, valve cover gaskets, fuel filters, an oil filter, and misc fluids that go with the car. I also have a factory hard cover manual (very helpful) and some other paperwork/receipts for parts ect. Now lets get down to what this diesel beast needs/issues it has: - Paint is faded - Interior dome lamp doesn't work - A/C has a slow leak - Interior cloth rear seat needs a cover or re-upholstered - Interior carpet is rough - When shifting down into 2nd gear at higher speeds there is a grinding that occurs (2nd gear syncros are worn) This does not happen when shifting up nor does it affect drive-ability - Steering rack is leaking out the seals (will need replaced in near future - $99 for rack) - There is some rust above windshield that was siliconed before I bought the car (water does not leak inside) I have treated this car with great care and I want the next owner as well too. It really is a pleasure to drive around. I can answer any questions you may have about the car. The car is for sale locally as well. Auction may end early if car is sold to a local buyer. I have been as honest as I can about the car. As such, the car is 27 years old and is sold as is. Call anytime with questions: Travis 904-234-5479
