Many more photos below. Please be patient as they load. 1970 Ford F100 Sport Custom 4x4 Pickup This truck was purchased in 2005 from the original owner in Glendale Arizona. It still had the original paint and was absolutely rust and dent free. I have a copy of the original title issued in 1970 which will be included (see photos). Complete frame-on restoration was finished in March of 2011. I recently moved to Colorado and the truck has been garaged since. I originally used the truck to haul supplies for a historic house I was restoring. Over the years I collected the best quality parts I could find including many NOS parts. Any part that I couldn’t find I purchased new from Dennis Carpenter or LMC truck. The 351 Windsor engine was recently rebuilt when I purchased the truck and I have put roughly 10,000 miles on it since. It has the original manual 4-speed transmission with a granny gear and a one speed transfer case. The frame was put on a rack and adjusted to factory specs just to be sure everything was straight before starting the restoration. The engine was updated with an Edelbrock Performer intake manifold and an Edelbrock 1405, 500 cfm carburetor. A DUI electronic distributor and Live Wires provide a great ignition system. All other components have been replaced within the past few years including, starter, water pump, alternator, power steering pump etc. A new 5-core oversized radiator and fan shroud keep the engine running cool. The front end received a rebuilt Dana 44 axel with custom 12 inch disc brakes from Driven Auto Parts (a Ford Bronco specialist in Phoenix, AZ). All new tie rods, coil springs, shocks and bushings were installed. The steering system was completely rebuilt by Benchwork Steering Systems which includes a new steering gear, steering shaft and a chrome ididit steering column with a Billet Specialties leather wrapped steering wheel. The Air Conditioning system was completely rebuilt from scratch including all hoses, compressor, condenser etc and a new under dash blower unit. The system is now R134 freon and blows ice cold. The heating system was rebuilt as well with a new blower motor, heater core, control lines etc. The interior was completely redone including a new dash pad, rebuilt instrument cluster, door panels, carpet and upholstery. The seat and headliner were done by John’s Auto Upholstery. Three-point seat belts were installed for safety. The original AM radio and all gauges work perfectly. Paint and bodywork were done by Ricky Black in Phoenix, AZ. The truck was completely disassembled for paint. All glass, chrome, doors, hood and bed were removed. The color is Honda Milano red in a base-coat, clear-coat. The color is a very close match to the Candy Apple Red that was an option on the early 70s Ford pickups. The floor of the bed has a black spray-in bedliner. The chrome trim for the rocker panels, wheel openings, door handles and headlight bezels is new. The bumpers were replaced less than five years ago. The grill is an all aluminum 1969 grill which has been cleaned and polished. The grill was originally from a Ranger pickup so I purchased the Ranger emblem to fill the orignal holes. (the truck is not a Ranger model) The side mirrors are NOS mirrors. The wheels and tires were purchased new in 2006. Buyer pays all shipping charges from Denver, Colorado. Payment must be via bank wire or cashier’s check. A deposit of $1,000 is due within 48 hours of auction close and the balance due within 10 (ten) working days. The buyer is fully responsible for making all the arrangements to have the truck shipped.
