1974 F350 Supercab "A True Survivor" ___________________________________________________________________________________ My Good Ole Truck has been around for 37 years now, “A TRUE SURVIVOR” because over the years it has been well cared for and maintained. With the right new owner this beauty will provide you with many more faithful years of excellent and reliable service. They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Up for sale is my Very original and Very Rare 1974 F350 Supercab 390 Automatic, long bed. According to Ford production numbers only 1,340 F350 Supercabs were produced in 1974 vs over 120,000+ F250’s. These trucks were mainly used for pleasure vehicles at the time, at least that’s how they were marketed. (See the original marketing Brochure included in the slideshow) This particular truck was just that, a pleasure vehicle. It was hooked up to a third wheel and only taken on vacation when the owner got the itch. Otherwise it sat on blocks covered till the next road trip was planned. Many people still remember this truck from the movie Close Encounters when Richard Dreyfus is chasing aliens and is subsequently abducted at the rail road tracks. Ahh the memories. Hopefully you’ll find less invasive ways to use the truck and develop more relaxing memories of road trips, picnics, fireworks, camping by the lake and just plain haulin stuff. The less flashing lights & flying objects the better. This truck has original & documented miles. If you look closely at the many 60+ HIGH RESOLUTION PICS, in the attached Slideshow, you’ll see the diligence of the original owner documenting services through the years and quoting mileage. You just can’t get more accurate records that that. According to the original factory option sheet (which I have, as well as many of the original factory items, see pics), the options were as follows, Wimbleton White w/Sandpiper Yellow Regular and Deluxe Totone 390-4V Engine Ranger Package XLT Front Facing rear seat Ammeter & Oil Pressure guage Trans Cruise-O-Matic 3 speed transmission Power steerinig LH&RH Chrome swing mirrors AM Radio Flipper Window 70 Amp Battery Auxiliary Spring 9.50X16.5 E 10PR Overall Condition: These trucks are a dream to drive. They are powerful, reliable and tough. BUILT FORD TOUGH! The engine runs smooth and starts easy. The carburetor is a brand new Holley with manual choke. ($300). The batteries are strong and the transmission shifts powerfully and positive, no slippage here. The brakes were just recently done and stop on a dime, Disc front, drum rear. The body has had some work done on it years ago, some body work is evident. The only really bad spot is the cab corner shown in the pics. (a new cab corner is included with purchase) Otherwise overall, this is a trustworthy friend, fun, get in and drive anywhere truck. Heck it even could be a great candidate for a full on restoration or 4X4 conversion. I drive it just about every day so you can trust its road worthiness. I wish I didn’t have to sell her but I just don’t have time anymore to do what I wanted, so my loss, your gain. Snap it up before someone else does cause at this price, it will go QUICK! Known Issues: Visible rust under doors and at rockers (see pics) Bad cab corner on passenger side (Have a brand new one, its included) Rusted radiator support and some rust on left front inner wheel well. Cab Supports were inspected and do have some rust but are still strong. Cruise control inop. I also noticed that the spring on the passenger side has one broken leaf. However, I just hauled a bunch of landscaping block and it did just fine so even though there are a few items to address, they won't prevent you from using and enjoying the truck right away. Bonus: If you're the winning bidder. I will include an original 1974 Brochure for the F Series Supercab. (See Below) SEE SLIDESHOW WITH 60+ Pics Set to Music Very Nice ________________________________________________________________________________ 60+ Pics (pics Only) More to come... __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ One last addition, I found the original owners ID card from when the truck was new " Charles Kaufman" Purchased New in 1974 from V&H Ford Marshfield, WI. Also, If your the winning bidder or have any questions feel free to call me directly. @ 414.369.2767 ask for Steve. Enjoy.
