This X5 has 181861 miles and is being sold with NO RESERVE so we do not have to re-list. This vehicle is being auctioned by the Woodridge Illinois Police Department. The history of this vehicle is unknown as it was seized during a March 2, 2011 traffic arrest. After the arrest, the vehicle was stored inside a warehouse until the X5 was awarded to the Woodridge Police Department on June 6, 2011 by court order. We hold clear title. We will attempt to describe this vehicle to the best of our ability and you may inspect the vehicle, in person, by appointment. Vehicle options include: six disc CD, heated steering wheel, power moon roof and roller sun blinds for rear doors. The body has passenger side and front end damage with no visible rust. The damage appears to be from a pole/post or similar object strike that occurred before the X5 was seized. The passenger side window glass appears to be etched from this pole strike and outside passenger side mirror is broken (see photos). The tires all have good tread and appear fairly new. The interior is clean and in good condition. The air conditioner blows cold air. Some of the LEDs on the radio display are not functioning. When the X5 was seized the driver’s door would not open from the outside and our Village mechanics repaired the door handle with BMW parts. This is not a guarantee that the vehicle will not need any further maintenance or service. During a very brief test drive the X5 accelerated, stopped, and handled as would be expected for a vehicle of its age. Again, this is not a guarantee that the vehicle will not need any further maintenance or service. Other than these stated observations we have no further information regarding this vehicle’s history. We always disclose everything we know about our vehicles, but again, these vehicles have an unknown prior history and are NOT inspected by us prior to auction. The NADA listed value for this 2001 BMW X5 is $4775.00 for "rough trade in", $6325.00 for "Average Trade in" and $7625.00 for "Clean Trade In".
