Vehicle Detail

This Honda CL100 was a lot of fun to build, fun to ride and ready for a new home. I get more pleasure out of building them than storing them and I'm already planning my next project bike. This one has a clear Texas title in my name and it's street legal. Since the laws vary by state, you might have to do more to it, but not much more. The lights and horn work. The rebuilt motor has all new gaskets and seals, a new clutch, a fresh bore/piston/rings, lapped valves and new stem seals, does not leak or smoke and starts without complaint. It runs good, all five gears shift smoothly (it's about a '75 model XL motor) and should be good to go for thousands of miles. The carb has been rebuilt as well. The tires are new. The rims are shouldered alloy rims, a Borrani WM2 in the back and an Italian no markings WM-0 in the front (probably a Borrani too). The forks and front drum are CB175. The clip-ons are hand made, chromed and quite nice. The front lamp is Italian, as is the steel cafe tank. No rust in the tank, as it's basically new. The seat is a fiberglass ebay special, upholstered locally. The frame has been modified to fit the cafe tail and also most of the various mounting tabs have been removed. The battery and regulator are under the seat and well mounted. It's powdercoat black, not rattle can. All the cables are new. However, the silver tank and tail look great in the photos - but up close don't look so great. I'm a crappy painter. There, I admit it! If you want to show it, you'll want to have the paint fixed. If you're going to ride, it might be fine. I'll include a rear brake pedal and a chain guard, although they are not pictured. The front fender has some dings in it but they are quite rare, so don't toss it out in case you prefer to replace it. The ignition key is included and works. It's important to note that it's a 40 year old motorcycle and one should expect to do some upkeep now and again. I didn't replace everything. It could use new fork seals. You might not like the grips. But if you've been on the hunt for a nice small bore cafe bike, here you go! Buyer arranges for - and pays for - transport. Check U-ship.com, I've used them with good result. Expect to pay $300-$500 for a "cross country" ride.
