I just bought a new Dodge 1500 and I am selling my 1968 Ford "Camper Special". This was a one owner truck from Arizona and I brought it up to BC in 2009. It has a 360 2 barrel, with factory air, front disk brakes, manual choke, 63,600 original miles, original dealer optioned 1968 magnesium "Turbine" wheels, Twin 20 gal. tanks, dual exhaust, clean and rust free. I put over $3500 into it to be Canadian Certified including; all new brakes (rotors, caliper, drums, pads, wheel cylinders, springs, lines, emergency brake, etc.) approx. 2000 miles ago, new axle seals, several new front end parts, had the exhaust manifolds machined and new gaskets, new Autolite 2100 carburator this year, new fuel filter (both original and inline), Complete tune up this month including; Bosch plugs, cap, rotor, points, condenser, new wiring harness, timing, etc ... I also have the original build sheet and manual for it. It is a true one owner, old guy from Yuma, Arizona that I bought it off of. You will not be disappointed with this truck .... it is not a true "show" truck but it is in unbelievable condition for an original (it has a few rock chips in the paint and some scratches and chips in the box). He had it stored in his garage for 15 years and when he took it out he had a "top overhaul" done to it .... new pushrods, springs, rockers, valve job, fuel tanks flushed, etc. The truck has no dings, dents or bondo. The motor compartment will need cleaning ... it is just a little dirty to show. On the negative side, it needs new seat covers (the driver's side is torn) and the arial was bent by some kids recently and will need to be replaced. The air conditioning blows cold air and was very rare in 1968. Being a Camper Special, it has the heavy duty rear end and heavy duty leaf springs. The tires will need replacing in the next 10,000 miles ... Dash, carpet, door panels, AM radio, etc, are all original ... in fact, everything is original and in good condition. I would not hesitate to drive this truck across Canada .... and back !!!! I am willing to drive it to Vancouver to meet someone at the airport. I would encourage anyone interested that lives near me to come out and look it over and drive it .... you will be amazed at how it drives (like new) and in its condition. A deposit of $1000 is required within 48 hrs via PayPal and the balance upon pick up or 7 days ... which ever comes first. Note: I changed the price to $6995. Canadian from the original $8995.
