1987 FERRARI 328 GTS/ 288 GTO BodyStreet Legal * Race Car60,958 Original miles This Ferrari is a real Ferrari not a kit car. It was made to hit the street or the track, it started life as a 1987 328 GTS and is now bodied like the million dollar Super Car 288 GTO. She is finished in a very correct Ferrari red exterior with black and red Sparco Ferrari racing seats inside. Because she is a GTS you get the ability to take the targa top off and cruise down by the beach or anywhere, and get that open convertible feel. She is a thrill to drive and a real attention getter. A real pleasure to run through the gears and listen to the music coming from the engine compartment. Everyone always wants to stop to check it out! Again this is a real 328 that has has all the great body lines of a 288 GTO without the huge price tag! I have owned this car since December of last year and she passed the California Smog test. Only driven on nice days I would say I have put about 220 or so miles on her and the rest of the time she just sat detailed and covered in my indoor storage building. If you are looking for something that you don't often see on the streets this is the car your looking for! Ferrari through the years has been known for their race history. Here is your chance to own a car with a ton of appeal and an affordable price tag. Paint: Painted in the iconic Ferrari Red that is in very good shape with only minimal rock chips. All the body panels aline well some even have Zeus fittings for an authentic race feel. The GTO body panels normally cost around $13,000. Interior: with Black interior. Dash has been modified to fit guys with a little longer legs. I am 6'5" and fit comfortably. Front and rear glass are still retained but the side windows have been removed. Keep in mind this car was built to be a Race car down to the roll bar and fire extinguisher but still streetable so you could drive it to and from the events! Also has a fuel management system which allows you to dial in the right mixture. And a good sound system! Engine/Trans: Powered by a strong running 3.2 L V8 and shifted by a 5 speed transmission that doesnt have any syncro issues. Drive her on a hot day or a cold day and she will start right up, shift easily and run cool. This Ferrari has never overheated, she runs cool in 100 degree plus weather. Wheels/Tires: 3 piece wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires with 80% tread left. History on GTO's:The GTO was simply the worlds fastest production car when it arrived. The mid-engine GTO was built for FISA's new Group B race series, in which cars such as the super exotic, limited production porsche 959 and jaguar XJ2200 were qualified to compete. Ferrari built 272 of the 288 GTO's .
