Vehicle Detail

OK lets clear up some things right off the bat, First, I will cancel all bids by 0 feedback bidders, period. I let one guy bid once after contacting me and he still didn't follow through, so no to all zeros. Second, read the description, don't read into it, just read it. Don't assume anything, if there is something not addressed ask, and don't fire me off emails asking about things I already stated. Remember, this car has been around for 44 years, I have owned it for 5, don't blame me for the other 39 years of ya-who's who have messed with it.  Third, if you win the bid it is your responsibility to set up how you are going to get the car transported from here to you. The car will not leave my driveway until full payment is made and any check or wire transfer has time to clear. OK that's that, now on with the description. First I will tell you what the car is supposed to have and then tell you what its current state is. I had Marti Auto Works do a report on this Mustang and learned that it was ordered with the following options: GT equipment group, 4-speed manual transmission, Equa-Lok differential, courtesy light group, electric clock, F70-14 wide oval tires, white sidewall nylon tires, Firestone brand name tires, console, deluxe steering wheel, sport deck rear seat, AM radio, deluxe seat belts, and styled steel wheels. The door data plate information is: (7) 1967 (F) built at Dearborn (02 & 63A) Mustang Fastback (S) 390-4V (Thunderbird special) (V) Burnt Amber paint (2A) black standard bucket seats (14K) scheduled for build Oct 14, 1966 ( 63) Memphis ordering district (D) 3.25 Equa-Lok axle ratio (5) 4-speed manual transmission. Of the 472,209 1967 Mustangs, 71,026 were Fastbacks. Of them, 17,350 were built with 390-4V engines, of which 9,759 came with 4-speed transmissions. 334 of those were painted Burnt Amber and 124 of them had black standard bucket seats. Of them, 79 were ordered with the GT equipment group. 19 of those had styled steel wheels, of which 10 had Equa-Lok Differentials. Of those, 7 were ordered with deluxe seat belts. 5 of them had electric clocks and 3 of these had manual steering, of which 2 had the courtesy light group. 1 of those was sold in the United States. This is that Mustang. With purchase of this car you will receive this framed report, which is a $200+ report, and it includes a copy of the original window sticker & extra door data tag. Its current state is: has 390-4V engine with an Edelbrock intake manifold & carburetor, automatic C6 transmission, and open differential, gears unknown. It has a power brake booster but the brakes have all been changed to drum. No console. It also still has the factory tachometer.  The sun exposure over the years has seriously warped the dashboard. The tires and wheels currently on car will not come with the vehicle. I will put a set of "rollers" on it. As you can see, over the years some original items have been removed and replaced. Vehicle is currently gray over red over original color. It has been modified with a rack and pinion steering but currently there is no steering column. That is the ONLY thing I have done to this vehicle - removing the steering column for use in another vehicle. I think it was hit or side-swiped on the driver's side because there is evidence of lots of bondo on the left rear quarter panel and left front fender. When I bought the car 5 years ago, the guy I bought it from drove it to town and drove it onto my trailer. It's been sitting ever since but I did get it running again this week with the addition of a new fuel pump, new coil, and good gas. It does not purr like a kitten - it's missing out some and the exhaust headers are leaking. But this is a good opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind S-code Fastback Mustang worth well over $40,000 after complete restoration without having to search through other old vehicles to find missing parts or interior pieces. That stated, don't expect to drive away with it! But it is a complete running vehicle, less the steering column. Other than sitting for 5 years, the last owner was driving it and it was last licensed in 2005. The vehicle is going to need a complete restoration. It has rust in all the usual places, but the rust is not extensive. I've tried to take pictures to capture important areas. If you need more, email me. If you have questions about its condition, please ask!On Aug-19-11 at 20:11:47 PDT, seller added the following information: This car also comes with a crystal clear title that is in my name, the numbers on the title match the numbers stamped on both the right and left aprons, along with a brand new door data tag from Marti Auto Works, it doesn't get any better than that.On Aug-23-11 at 12:02:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Wheels and Tires will stay on the car
