We at CAMPBELL BROTHERS AUTO SALES INC. are proud to offer for sale this mostly original 1977 MERCEDES-BENZ 450SL ROADSTER CONVERTIBLE with ONLY 59,011 ACTUAL MILES. This car was purchased new by a local businessman who kept it at his vacation home in Florida. This car has always been stored inside and has never been driven in harsh weather. My father purchased this car 12 years ago from the original owners estate with 51,000 miles on it and he and my mother have use it as their vacation vehicle. Because we are licenced dealers we have never had to title the car therefore it is still considered to be a one owner. To give this car a better look my father had 18 inch chrome wheels install however we have the original wheels and they go with the vehicle. About 2 years ago he tore the original top while putting it down so therefore he had a new top installed as well. The 1977 450 SL is a vehicle that was well ahead of it's time. With all of the creature features, comfort options and the performance of this car one would never think they are driving a 34 year old car. Features and options on this car are as follows..... The only reason they are selling it is they have purchased a newer SL55 Roadster. CONDITION: EXTERIOR: Nice, clean looking car. The paint on the rear deck lid has faded. To look good it will need to be repainted but it does not look that bad as it is. The soft top looks good and retract as it should. As you can see from the dust in the pictures the hard top has been kept in storage and has seldom been on the car. Overall this is a car that you can be proud of. INTERIOR: The drivers seat has a tear in it and the passengers seat shows some wear but other than that the interior is original and in good condition. As stated above the cruise control does not work. Overall for a 34 year old vehicle the interior looks good. DRIVETRAIN: Starts, runs, and drives great. This is a roadworthy vehicle as you could ask for. Pick this vehicle up and drive it anywhere. SHIPPING and PAYMENT: $500 non-refundable deposit due within 48 hours of the end of the auction. If deposit has not been received within 48 hours of the end of the auction the vehicle will be relisted, no exceptions. Balance due upon pick up. Vehicle must be picked up or paid in full within 10 days of the end of the auction. All shipping must be paid for by the winning bidder.
