Vehicle Detail
BARN FIND: I am listing this for a family friend whose father passed away some years ago and the family tells me vehicle was stored in his barn for some 30 years. The vehicle is a 1971 Ford Mustang Mach I with a 351 Cleveland with 4 barrell (engine turns over), and 4 speed transmission (seems to shift correctly). Identified on the intake manifold is DOA-8426-L. This car does not appear to have any apparent rust issues, however body and interior needs complete restoration. It is my understanding that this car had a different air cleaner set up (Ram Air III?) that was removed by the father in the past. It now has a 340 4 barrell air cleaner. Needs body work, complete interior (owner says a set of original bucket seats is included, seats currently in car are not original), rechroming of bumpers, etc. Additionally the radiator, radiator support and hood latch are damaged and need to be repaired and windshield is broken. Please carefully review pictures and ask questions before bidding. Has no keys and is sold on a bill of sale (inherited in probate), vehicle has been in storage for many years and not registered or licensed. The mag wheels in the pictures belong to me and do not go with the vehicle, however a set of tires/wheels will be included to make the car a roller. Questions will be forwarded to the owner for response. On Aug-20-11 at 09:55:20 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Information: Car does not appear to have any rust issues, very solid body, needs dents removed, paint, but no major body work needed. Paint color is a light goldish tan color (maybe a very slight greenish hue) and appears to be the original color. Interior is in good condition for its age. The headliner is in good condition, appears to be original. Car has original carpets, in good condition for age. Dash has a crack, door panel arm rests are worn/damaged, back panel that covers speakers has damaged area. Back right interior panel was removed and is in the trunk. There are other items in the trunk including the original jack, but without a key I cannot verify everything in the trunk. Two more pictures have been added, including the two black front bucket seats, which we understand are original Mach I seats. It is my understanding, the white buket seats in the car are from a Mercury, and are in good condition (two sets of bucket seats). The VIN number is 1F05M199083. We would call this car an excellent candidate for restoration. On Aug-21-11 at 16:37:02 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional information on door sticker: Mfd. Ford Motor Co, 199083.
