Relisted- Ebay removed the listing since I didn't put in the ad that you can't mail cash to me! Thought that was pretty understood by anyone but I changed it and now it is relisted. Good luck bidding! Rare opportunity to bid on a classic American SUV! One of the nicest non-restored original scouts that I have seen. It is a 1980 International Scout II with the Nissan SD33T Turbo Diesel motor. These are few and far between especially in this condition. Ebay will only let me upload 24 photos but I took 63 to show there was nothing to hide. I also posted at the end of the webshots, the pictures of how it was when I got it. You can see how clean the undercarriage was then and the body. Here is the link to all the pictures on webshots http://rides.webshots.com/album/580726493QjWkKD?vhost=rides I also uploaded a video to youtube so you can see it start, run, and stop. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VQSbsJjHyE It was bought new in Texas and basically spent its whole life in a garage. I bought it and had it shipped up to Iowa with 87000 original miles. My goal was to make a nice rig that could be used as a daily driver, parade vehicle, or to just putt around the neighborhood in on a Friday night and no expense was spared. If it needing something, I either fixed it or paid to have it fixed. When I bought it, the undercarriage was very clean. It was steamcleaned and then POR-15 was applied to the undercarriage and underside of the body. I took a bunch of pictures of the undercarriage so you can see how nice it is. It is a little dirty in the pics but is in good shape. Sure, I could have pressure washed it and sprayed it black like others do- but I wanted you to see the true condition of it. The floor was nicer than most Scouts that you see so to keep it that way, I did the KBS Rust seal 3 step process with a white final coat followed by a black bedliner material to keep it nice, give it some texture and make it easy to clean. It looks great and will hold up for many years to come. The body itself has no rust on it and the paint still shines! It is solid and looks great from any distance. The door panels were also lined for a neat look and durability. New door gaskets were installed to keep it nice and tight going down the road. New struts were installed on the back liftgate/ rear window so it functions as it should and stays open when up. It has a chip in the windshield which I will get filled to try to keep it from spreading. It also comes with new lacing for the windshield. The A/C (yes it has A/C!) blows cool but not cold. A new heater core and hoses were installed and the heat works great. I also installed HID headlamps and a new dimmer switch and they really light up the road while driving. Mechanically it was in great shape when I got it. Motor starts up and turbo produces boost as it should. It runs down the road fine at highway speeds. Trans shifts nice and transfer case goes in and out of 4x4 easily. Front locking hubs work as they should as well. I'm sure it goes well offroad but all I did was drive it in and out of my shop and down the road every so often to see how many looks I would get. Brakes work well and clutch grabs just fine. I did a few mods to it mainly to make it look better and drive easier. It has a new battery, new filter with swiss cheesed airbox (comes with original also), upgraded downpipe w/ EGT probe, new exhaust, new alternator, rebuilt starter, new windshield washer tank, and new wiper blades. I had a full gauge pack installed by Randall's diesel in Gladstone, IL with Tach, EGT, and boost gauges. I put a 4" lift kit on it with new shocks (rides better than stock now) and Aluminum alloy wheels with BRAND new LT235/85/16 Firestone Transforce A/T tires. There is the spare mounted on the bumper with a good shape 235/85/16 tire and another spare aluminum wheel/Pro Comp tire. I also have a full set of 15" factory wheels with like new Goodyear tires, factory spare, factory hubcaps and lugnuts (you will get 11 tires/ wheels total). The steering is a little lite (Typical on a Scout since they had 0 caster) but could be easily fixed by a 4x4 shop or by adding caster shims. I didn't mind it so I just left it the way it is. I had a custom front bumper fabbed up with a 2" receiver integrated so you can easily mount a winch. The custom rear bumper has a swing open spare tire mount (spare included) and integrated 2" receiver with d-rings. The rear bumper also has a trailer plug and reverse lights (not currently hooked up). It had some west coast style mirrors on it which I replaced with more of a factory style so there is an extra hole on each door. I don't play the reserve game and can't stand it when I bid on a vehicle with a reserve. This one will sell with NO RESERVE to the high bidder so bid to win! That's right the high bidder will win regardless of the sale price. Clear title will be given to the winning bidder once payment in full has been made. I run honest auctions and am not trying to hide anything so please don't waste my time. I took a lot of time to write an accurate description, and took a ton of pictures and even a video. Please don't bid if you are not a serious buyer, don't have the money, don't have your mother in law's permission, or are an out of the country Nigerian princess who wants me to ship it with your Arab cousin. I don't play games and have great feedback to show for it. Any questions, don't hesitate to give me a call at 563-676-2032. $250 paypal deposit due within 48 hours and full payment due in cash in person at the time of pickup (don't mail cash per Ebay) within 7days unless arrangements have been made prior to the auction end. If you pay by cashier's check, it has to fully clear the bank (takes several days) before the title or vehicle will be released. On Aug-17-11 at 10:34:15 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks for all the interest so far. To answer a few questions I have had, the lift was only added since the stock springs and shocks were a little soft from age. I didn't lift it to off-road or go mudding. It was more just to restore a better ride height and make it look better. I bought a top of the line lift kit and took my time to professionally install it. As far as MPG goes, it varies greatly with how it is driven but it regularly gets between 22 and 25mpg. I'm sure some people out there could get a lot better. I didn't really buy it for economy but more just because I like clean, 4x4 diesel vehicles. On Aug-17-11 at 21:01:23 PDT, seller added the following information: I was able to find the stock front bumper. It is pretty straight and in decent shape. I will give it to the high bidder if they are interested.
