A Very SOLID 1971 PORSCHE 914 with a fiberglass CHALON Slopenose body kit. 5 lug Cookie Cutter Aluminum Rims. 911 Side Mirrors. Could not find any rust - Battery tray, Hell Hole, Rockers, Floors, Trunks - all SOLID. Straight body. No evidence of any accidents. Interior is very good. Two cracks in dash and a couple of seam splits on drivers seat. Runs excellent with the original 1.7 engine and stock fuel injection system. Upgraged Side Shifter 5 speed Transaxle. Good Brakes and Suspension. New Steering rack but needs U-joints in steering column replaced for super smooth steering. (have part - see photo) This is a very strong running 914 which can be driven anywhere Today!!! It could use a couple of small things. Two parking light lens up front. Rubber moldings around windows are cracked. Lock installed in rear trunk. But, all in all, a very solid, strong running 914 with better lines than the 911 slantnose turbo it mimics. The 911 looks like it got squeshed front & back. The 914 slopenose is lower to the ground than the 911 which makes its body lines much more flowing. I got sick and did not put this car on non-op when the registration ran out. So to re-register it in California will cost the new owner $500 in back fees. Clear California tittle # 8080408185F. Back fees do not apply if registered in any other state or country. Porsche 914's are getting hard to find in very good condition and Slopenose examples are even rarer.
