Greetings all. 1970 Datsun 510 Two Door. Original paint. All original. Unmolested. The Real Deal. This car was purchased in 1989 from the 78 year old original owner. It has been in dry storage ever since. Motor was last started in about 1994. Car has 31,000 original miles. The original front set of tires was replaced in 1988. You can see by the treads, that they were not driven much after install. I believe the tires on the back may be original. They are Goodyear size A78-13 (an obsolete tire sizing) Note that all tires on the car are bias-ply. (not radial) We have all original paper work to verify mileage. Floors, trunk and engine compartment are mint. The front valance, bottom right, has the original paint flaking off. All the rest of the body is in excellent condition. Interior, including the drivers’ seat is mint. Dash has no cracks! Headliner is perfect, as you would expect from a car with 31,000 miles….. Radiator has original sticker on it still......neat... The paint looks good for 40 years old. The car had about 100 door chips out of the paint that were touched up with a small brush. Small dents in the corners as seen in pictures. The original bumpers are straight, but will require re-chroming. The original hubcaps are mint. The wheels will need to be painted. We did not want to paint them, as we wanted the new owner to see how original it is. When the car was lasted parked, it had fuel stabilizer run through it. We have not attempted to start it since. Car has the original battery ‘hold down’ unit. Trunk has original jack and still has the plastic on the lug nut wrench. Also included is the original 40 year old touch up paint supplied by the dealer when new. Please remember this is a 40 year old car. Drive as is or ???
