i am selling my 84 pontiac trans am,i have had this car for 13 years but its only been on roads on and off for about 4 years and is currently on till the end of the month.. i have spent alot of money put alot of time into this car.. the body doesn't look the greatest paint is wearing off has rust spots on doors around windshield back window basically all the spots rust usually is with cars this old the only water leak is small leak at the back section of the drivers side t-top, i put more money into the performance then the looks of it.. the interior looks great, few winters ago i had a 88 firebird that i stripped out and put into this car only parts inside that are original are the door panels, center console and dashboard.. the tires are good, i replaces the calipers and brake lines in the rear, plus the shocks in rear.. just put new brakes in the front last week and the front right wheel has new inside bearing.. as for the engine and tranny.. transmission works wonderful shifts nice no slips gives the wheels everything the engine can push out.. the only issues for the engine is it does have small oil leak that i haven't located but i usually just add about quart each month..the emission control system over the years just basically rotted away but due to new emissions you won't have to pass that test anyways .. there is a battery drain somewhere and if you don't start the car in 4 days the battery is dead.. my solution to this problem was if i know im not driving the car for awhile i just disconnect the battery and little note unfortunatly the battery in the car is from another one of my cars so it you will need to bring one if you decide to drive it away... not sure what else to really say its great car definatly a bummer i have to get rid of it.. Now as for pick-up it can be trailer towed or driven if you have the plates and all for it.. ohh and due to me being on a little island on the east end of long island ny there is a ferry to the island so to cut the cost of coming over to pick up car i can arrange to have car on long island side for pick-up to help buyer out.. if you have any questions feel free to ask, if you wish to call my cell # is 631-219-8434 my name is drew happy bidding all On Aug-11-11 at 20:38:29 PDT, seller added the following information: quick note to let you know of small issue if and when the car hasn't run for while at times a quick shot of starter fluid would be needed just for that first start then it will run fine.. the idle was i think set alittle low so if you don't give it little gas right after it starts it will stall but once you rev it few times its usually if you just give it little gas for about 20 seconds then it runs fineOn Aug-13-11 at 09:47:04 PDT, seller added the following information: i was asked last night for interior shots of the car so i just snapped few and posted them, i also snapped few of the cracks there were on top of the dash.. the drivers seat under the cover from what i remember was same condition as the passenger seat the rear seats were in really good condition as well.. while im here wanted to also mention that few months ago i had trouble with the drivers side rear tire it would go flat within 2 days so i purchased new tire stuck it on the rim but for some odd reason within a week it would be down to 20lbs air i figured it either didn't seat right or the valve was leaking but since i put about 50lbs pressure in 3 weeks ago the tire isn't losing any air so im assuming after while the bead finally set correctly
