Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1988 Chevrolet Camaro IROC Z. 305 5.0L V8 Enigine with about 144,000 miles on it. My husband took the interior apart with the intentions of putting in new carpet, but never got around to it. All the pieces are still with the car. It surely looks worse than it is. Vehicle does start right up and run but there is somethng wrong with the transmission it doesnt go into 3rd gear. This vehicle would be a great fixer upper or, for this price, even a great parts car if you already have one. T-tops do not come with the car. Tires still have great tread, front tire is flat do to sitting has no holes, rear tires are extra wide but you can replace them if that is not your preference. Due to the age of the car the odometer can only read up to 100,000 miles so it reads 44,000 when it actually is 144,000. On the title search is says there is a discrepancy in the milage. Previous owner claimed there was a mistake during title transfer that is now listed on the report. There are appx 144,000 actual miles. Local pickup only. The vehicle is listed locally as well so seller has the right to end the auction early. Car comes as is, any questions please dont hesitate to ask. Please contact me if you live local and would like to check the car out before bidding. On Aug-14-11 at 13:49:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Motor runs smooth, no pinging, knocking or smoke. Suspension and brakes are good ,were replaced recently. exhaust is great cond, believe its stock and in great cond. This is a straight solid car, If you could put the interior back togethere and fix 3rd gear i would say it would pass inspection. I baught this car with intension of restoring it but i came across a 89 z28 w/ a 350 (stock). This car being auction off; i was told has the original motor and rear. Transmission wasreplaced by this one that has no 3rd gear. Looking under the hood closly its very clean and still stock ( still has the ac unit). car was repainted ( decented job but needs to be touch up in a few areas. Floor pans are preety much solid, Hardly any rust. was stored inside but i currently rebuilding my garage so there outside. If this doesnt sell on ebay todayand your still interested and live near by, stop by and take it for a ride. Im loosing money one this one. i paid 1750 with the interior installed. I have stock rims that need to be recond if you want them, optional to buyer. No radio included or speakers, missing drivers mirror, and t tops and maybe a few nuts and bolts and some interior parts. I just purchased a new interior for my other rock and it cost me about 1000$. hope this helps.
