1940 Plymouth PT-105 Pickup Truck Fully restored, great looking and fun truck! Paint is very good to excellent condition and is 1940 Washington Blue with Black Fenders and running boards. In person the paint looks as good and better than the photos shown here with very minor blemishes from normal use. Serial Number 9209417 which indicates this truck was produced in the Los Angeles Plymouth / Dodge plant in 1940 Total production in the Los Angeles plant in 1940 was 703 1/2 ton trucks. This truck was the 67th 1/2 ton truck produced at the Los Angeles Plant in 1940 There were 7,433 PT-105 trucks built at the Los Angeles and Detroit Plymouth / Dodge plant for the 1940 model year Original straight 6 cylinder 201 cid engine 6 volt electrical system with complete new wiring throughout the truck Engine, Transmission, Rear End and Brakes have all been rebuilt This truck starts quick, runs excellent, drives excellent, idles smooth, very quiet and runs cool in the hottest weather I am the 4th owner of this truck. The original owner of this truck was Knox Hardware in Manhaten Beach California. The 2nd owner purchased the truck in 1996. New wide whitewall tires, hubcaps and trim rings All steel body, bed and fenders Many NOS parts were used throughout the restoration. Numerous receipts included showing most parts purchased and work performed This truck has a functional crank out front windshield and pop-up vent on top of cowl which makes it very pleasant to drive in the hottest of weather! As you will see from the photos, when this truck was restored the Dodge front stainless trim and hubcaps were applied because the Plymouth trim was not being reproduced. Over the time I have owned this truck I did locate a complete Plymouth nose assembly with excellent trim (very rare and hard to find). This plymouth nose assembly is included in the sale of this truck. I had contemplated switching the trim but the Dodge trim looks so nice I did not have the heart to change it. In the photos below I show the plymouth nose and trim that comes with the truck. In that photo I show just the primary front nose section. I do have the complete plymouth nose section including the front (shown) and the lower side pieces (not shown).
