Vehicle Detail
1966 Porsche 911 – Here is a summer 1965 production 1966 model year 911 coupe. I purchased the car from the original owner. The car is a complete project and would require a full restoration. The car has rust in the rockers, dog-legs, and horse shoe. The floor is also in need of replacement. Also the rear decklid will need to be replaced. Most of the exterior body panels are solid and the center tunnel is also solid. There is no interior. The gaps are very good. All the glass is good except for a crack in the windshield, the cowling has a little rust as well. The car is definitely restorable and a worthy candidate. This car is completely original except for the motor. But it is a 1969 911S engine. The car has just over 82,000 miles. This car also is in my opinion the best color for a SWB. It is SLATE GRAY code 6401. This car is very complete, it even has a partially complete original tool kit, and the original jack. It also retains its original radio!! Also the steering wheel is in excellent original condition. All of the gauges are also present and original. As I said before the motor is a 1969 2.0 911 S engine. The engine number is 6391096 Type 901/10. The motor does not turn. It has a webasto gas heater in the smugglers box. I purchased the car with the intention of restoring it. Unfortunately I have other projects and no space for this one. Although this is a project car, it is a ’66 model year 911 Coupe that is worth saving. The early cars are becoming harder and harder to find and their value is skyrocketing. If you have any questions about the car, please ask.
