This car is sharp and is a DRY - SOLID - Oregon - Idaho High Mountain Desert Western car for its whole life. The previous owner told us that this car was sold new in National City, California then moved to New Mexico on to Oregon and finally here in Boise, Idaho. All of these area's are known for there lack of rust because of dry climates. This Beauty also comes with its ORIGINAL new car - 1955 Mercury color brochure shown in a picture below !! Check out the original art deco color combination of Turqoise and White how does get any better than that !! You can't believe the looks and thumbs up you get while driving this car !!! This BEAUTY has what appears to be the STRONG - ORIGINAL - "Super Torque" 292 CID V8 motor in it and running extremely well and it still retains its ORIGINAL - Holley - "Tea Pot" four barrel carb., COOL !! Sounds good too with the "Throaty Sounding" dual exhaust system which correctly exits out of the chrome ports in the lower rear bumper. The engine is backed by the smooth - factory Merc - O - Matic automatic transmission which also functions well as We just had it completely professionally rebuilt including the torque converter to the tune of over $1,600.00 !! The BEAUTIFUL two tone Turqoise and White interior is in NICE condition including a NICE Turqoise and White front seat, NICE Turqoise and White rear seat, NICE Turqoise and White door panels, NICE matching Turqoise carpeting and matching floor mats, good ORIGINAL steering wheel, NICE ORIGINAL dash and NICE ORIGINAL gauge cluster's. This Merc' is nicely equipped including factory power steering, factory power brakes, power front seat, original Mercury AM radio which is not working, good heater and defroster, factory gauge package, aftermarket temp. gauge and dual fender mounted chrome exterior mirrors. The previous owner told us that he just had a new windshield and a new gas tank professionally installed less than one year ago and that it was not cheap !! The Turqoise and White two tone exterior paint is EYE POPPING BEAUTIFUL with some imperfections showing but its still bright, shiny and NICE as you can see in the picture above and the 100 ADDITIONAL PICTURES BELOW !! Bright Turqoise on White how can you get any better !! This Car is a great runner and a real nice looker. This Monterey has GREAT looks and good power as well ! The electrical system seems to be in good condition including headlights, tailights and turn signals. The car also sports the factory Original stainless steel Mercury wheel covers that are in great shape and check out the almost new whitewall radial tires, boy does this combination look OUTSTANDING and retains the original look on this classic 50's art deco era car !! The trunk is trimmed out in the same carpet used in the interior and it looks GREAT !! This Mercury Monterey is a good investment opportunity and it is priced right ! This vehicle is in BEAUTIFUL condition from top to bottom and from front to back.
