1970-71? Montesa Scorpion 250 Maybe a 69---the frame serial number is 24M1870 Perhaps someone more knowledgeable than myself can provide a better idea. This bike is being sold for a co-worker. Bill of Sale will be provided as we do not have a title at this time. -Efforts are being made to get one and I will update the listing if we are successful. Frame-up Restoration, including : Front and Rear Spoke Sets Grips Cables Carb Kit Gasket and Seal Set 1st over Piston Set Tires & Tubes Fork Seals Shocks Etc. Runs great, Looks great! On Aug-01-11 at 08:33:17 PDT, seller added the following information: In answer to some recent questions: I'll tell you what I can-- The mileage is what's showing on the Odometer and appears to be correct. The shop that did most of the work said it was a '69, but I've had others tell me they thought it was a year or 2 later. I'm hoping the serial number may prompt an educated answer. It had a "1st over Piston Kit" installed, the carb is an AMAL 389B30, and the coil is is a Motoplat (silver body w/maroon head). I'm sorry I don't know any of the history directly as I'm selling it for a friend. The majority of the work was done in Oct. of 2003, then parked! We just re-built the carb and gave fresh fuel to be sure everything runs well, (and it does) to put it on the market. I'd probably put a new seat on it or replace the foam on this one due to age. It's not 100% but a very nice bike that just needs a little to take it the rest of the way. Thanks for asking, let me know if I can provide anymore --J
