2003 Mercury Sable LS Up for bids is a 2003 Mercury Sable LS. I bought the car to sell it, it's what I do as a hobby. Title is a clear Indiana title as seen in pictures. I'm the middle man, so I did not sign it, buyer will if you plan to drive it. I drove it 2-3 hours from Chicago to home with no problems whatsoever. Paint is a dark green color, looks very nice. It does have it knicks and dings for being a 8 year old car, but most can be buffed out and/or ignored without taking away from the overall appearance. (In pics) Has one spot of rust above the rear right wheel (See pic) Easily fixable if your good with body work. Gray leather interior with no rips or holes. Has almost like a stainless steel/chrome fixtures/covers. Very clean interior other than a ding on the chrome facing on the stereo and a couple slight wrinkles on the dash (Pics) Drives strait as an arrow and is very comfortable, may need new shocks, as when you hit a bump or dip in the road, can hardly feel it but it wobbles for a couple moments after. Has a retractable sunroof that works flawlessly. Features a large trunk. Engine is clean and does not leak or burn oil whatsoever. Runs strong. Oil is still clean but I do not know when it had an oil change last. Has a 6 CD changer in the middle console that works superbly. One of the best sound systems I've heard in a car without any aftermarket speakers. Power everything- Seats, windows, locks. Has an anti-theft alarm system, fob included. Comes with just one key, key does have a transmitter in it for anti-theft so a replica/replacement would be a bit costly.....so don't lose it! No problems electronically or mechanically. Newer Yokohoma tires on all 4 wheels. (I'd guess about 85-95% tread) Driver side mirror looks as though the plastic was broken off and/or just cracked. It was screwed and glued back on by previous owner. (Pics) Car manual is in the glove box. Now for the worst, I found out the guy I bought the car off of was not the original owner, he bought it to sell it as well. He changed the odometer from 170,587 miles to 70,587 miles, which is also why, as see in the pictures, the speedometer sits at 18mph even when it is not moving and on the title, see picture, he changed the 1 to a 0 making it 100,00 miles less. Looks like I should of took my time buying this car instead of on implulse; gotta love people these days! Left button on dash raises/lowers accelerator pedal (Cool feature) Right button shuts of the traction control system. Windows roll up and down like new, no problems there. A/C blows extremely cold, and heat warms easily. Has digital compass on rear view mirror and digital temp below the stereo which shows outside temp & inside car temp. All in all it is a great car, just has a few flaws that can be easily fixed to make a superb, very reliable daily driver with decent gas mileage (24-28 Highway) That's all I can think of for now.
