THE STARTING PRICE REFLECTS A LOCAL OFFER ON THIS CAR. THANK YOU. Rust-free 1964 Ford Galaxy 2 door post. Factory 289, C-4 automatic. Starts, runs and drives and stops very good , this car is currently in good daily driver type condition. I haven't gone long distances, but several trips of about 100 +/- miles and the car performed as it should. I haven't run the numbers to verify they are matching, but previous owner told me they were. The body is exceptionally straight with the exception of a minor passenger side ding as shown in the pictures. It doesn't appear to be a major repair ( it looks like it will straighten out easily) and the trim is not creased, so it too should be easily restored to usable condition. The pictures make this car look rather bright and shiny. However the clearcoat is peeling from a poor paint job and the paint has flaked of in one small place. In other words, a paint job will be necessary to bring back the beauty. It appears to have been a cream color from the factory. I have found NO RUST in any body panels, floors or trunk area. Most of the chrome and stainless is in usable condition (may need some polishing). The glass is in good condition, no chips or cracks, and the side windows go up and down normally. The odometer shows approximately 11560 miles . I believe it to be 111560 as the condition of this car doesn't indicate more miles. I do not know if any major mechanical work has been done to the engine or transmission, but they function well; i.e., no smoke, runs smooth, sounds good with the dual exhaust and shifts properly with no strange or unusual noises. The interior will need some TLC. The seat covers show they're age and will need replaced, the carpet is serviceable but is also older and the headline is stating to show its age. Gauges and idiot lights appear to work (as best I can tell), headlights, turn signals and brake lights work, wipers work. Interior chrome, stainless, steering wheel, etc are in good condition.Factory wheels and air cleaner are in the trunk. I have a clear title to this car.
