Up for bid is an exceptional 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL roadster purchased originally in Cocoa, Florida by a Doctor for his wife. The original price was $52,300.00 and out the door with rust, fabric protection and other options, taxes and fees for $58,519.20, and of course all the sales orders, original window sticker and books go to the next owner. The elderly couple could no longer drive and the car was purchased from them in 2009. The car is Arctic White and has Blue leather seats (protected with custom fitted sheep skin seat covers) and carpets (always protected with mats). The soft top is like new and only put up a few times. The car has alloy wheels, a beautiful matching hard top and only 42K original miles! The car has always been highly serviced by the original owner and all available orders have been printed and bound – amazing to read the meticulous care that this car has had since purchase. The car's factory options (directly from the window sticker) include: automatic transmission with torque converter, supplemental restraint system with emergency tensioning retractors for front seat passengers, anti-theft alarm system, power assisted steering, cruise control (not working), automatic climate control, central locking system, tinted glass, electric window lifts, electrically heated rear window on hardtop, 2-speed windshield wipers with 5 second interval mist control, fully dependent suspension, power assisted four wheel disc brakes, anti-lock braking system, limited-slip differential, light alloy wheels, steel belted radial ply tires, electronic am and fm radio (been upgraded to ALPINE TDA-7554 Cassette Player and a CHA-S604 ALPINE Compact Disc Player) electric window lifts, Automatic Antenna, leather upholstery, adjustable bucket seats and head restraints, from center folding arm rest, leather covered steering wheel and gear selector, halogen head and fog lamps, first aid kit. Obviously always garaged with no accidents and in fantastic shape. The car had a MB-200 Radar detector installed (still works) and a wooden case in the rear compartment area that holds the after factory speakers (locked/key missing). The original leather dashboard and the walnut wood veneer interior are also in great shape with only a minor dashboard crack near the windshield. The car has it's original factory matching dark blue soft top which is still in as new condition (paper work in it when raised in 2009) and the car has it's original and also factory matching Arctic White color hard top. The car drives exactly as you’d expect of a well maintained and serviced Mercedes 560SL with only 42K original miles should and must be seen and driven to be truly appreciated! The engine is extremely strong with no noticeable oil leaks and the temperature always remains cool. All the options (except the cruise as mentioned and the clock (radio has a clock) are working.
