Vehicle Detail
UP FOR SALE IS A 1965 F-350 DUMP TRUCK. THIS TRUCK HAS SERVED ME WELL BEING THE BACKBONE OF MY SMALL TREE SERVICE BUSINESS(PART TIME) FOR YEARS. IT HAS A STRAIGHT SIX 300 CI ENGINE. IT HAS A HOLLY 2 BRL CARB WITH ADAPTER PLATE. THIS WAS A BIG IMPROVEMENT OVER THE ONE BARL. I ALSO REPLACED THE RADIATOR 2 YEARS AGO. THE REAR TIRES ARE IN GREAT CONDITION AND ARE RADIALS THE FRONTS ARE BIAS AND NEED REPLACED. THE TRUCK DRIVES FINE HOWEVER IT IS GEARED LOW 3 SPEED WITH CREEPER GEAR. THERE IS NO POWER STEARING OR BRAKES. THE BRAKES WORK BUT THE TAIL LIGHTS NEED REWIRED. THE DUMP IS OPERATED BY PTO FROM TRANSMISSION AND WORKS FINE. THE TRUCK WOULD BE GOOD FOR A SMALL TIME LANDSCAPER. IF YOU DONT DRIVE FAR IT WOULD BE GREAT. THIS IS NO SPEED DEMON AND RUNS GOOD AT 50 MPH. THERE ARE ALOT OF GOOD USABLE PARTS IN THIS TRUCK ENGINE TRANS REAR END SPRINGS.THE REAR SPRINGS ARE HUGE. IM STARTING BIDDING AT 500.00 DOLLARS I THINK THE ENGINE ALONE IS WORTH THAT. I HAVE ALOT OF GOOD MEMORYS IN THIS TRUCK BUT IM REPLACING IT WITH A BIGER MORE MODERN TRUCK. I ALSO HAVE A SET OF USED BIAS TIRES THAT COULD BE PUT ON THE FRONT TO BUY SOME TIME THEY WILL GO WITH TRUCK IF WANTED. THE TIRES ARE 17.5 INCH AND ARE A LITTLE HARD TO FIND. IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO DRIVE LET ME KNOW I WOULD BE GLAD TO TAKE YOU OUT FOR A TEST DRIVE. SORRY NO SOLO DRIVES(INSURANCE) GOOD LUCK BIDDING. CONTACT ME WITH ANY QUESTIONS I WILL ANSWER THEM THE BEST I CAN. LOCATED IN PERRY OHIO, CLEAR TITLE, CASH OR CERTIFED BANK CHECK ONLY. On Jul-22-11 at 17:42:24 PDT, seller added the following information: I have added a few more pictures. The bed of the truck does have some small rust holes but not to bad. The basic truck is there. rough around the edges but a running driveable machine. The truck has been sitting a little while the plates ran out in may,but started up today fine to lift the bed for pictures. Remember this is 46 years old. You get what you see. come drive it or ask questions. If you win the bid its yours. I would like to see todays computer controled trucks running at 46 years old. The engine that came with the truck when i bought it let go. The engine was replaced with a used engine and was rebuilt with new pistons, rings ,cam also crank cam and connecting bearings. the pistons are 30 over stock design. stock cam too. valves were ground none were replaced. The engine was built by Donny Arndt of eastlake ohio, with many years of engine rebuild experance. I believe the milage was about 85000. I also think the miles are true, I cant see driving very far (slow). also the gears shift smoothly. There is no slamming from gear to gear you have to gently drop it(hook)it in. I also never down shift it does not like this! . The top part of the truck bed is plywood and works well for chips and leaves. but could be cut doun. It has a mannual choke. pto controls are in cab. I have never opened up the pto or even changed the oil or added oil to the tank. I works. It has a pintle hitch. good luck!
