Vehicle Detail

A great amount of attention was paid to restoring this 1947 Ford to a period correct true 1950s street rod. This is one super nice 2 door Sedan. Coupes are nice but don't come close to having the room of a sedan. The kids could set up a tent and camp in the back seat! This is not your cookie cutter old Ford. It was restored to a true 50s style street rod. The 50s was the birth of the street rod. Street rods of any make in the 1950s never had 350 Chevy engines and 700R automatic transmissions. Sorry 350 Chevy engines were not around then. This has an original 239ci V8 Ford flathead with duel exhaust. It also has an earler Ford transmission which were put in the 50s street rods to get a floor shift because the stock 1947 transmissions were column shifts. WOW, There is nothing else that sounds like a true V8 flathead with duel exaust and smitty mufflers! A very unique sound. Do you want a fake or a true 50s street rod. There are lots of fakes around but very few period correct Rods. The V8 flathead engine runs like new. The whole car is pinstriped, even the engine heads are pinstriped. Transmission is floor shift with 8 ball shifter knob. New roll & pleated style interior. All new chrome on dash(see pictures). Hula girl bobble doll on dash. Fuzzy dice on the mirror. Flames on fenders. Dice valve caps. Duel exhaust. Side pipes. Chrome wheels. The pictures tell the story! Paint is nice. Car runs and drives great! Brakes are perfect. This car will run Interstate speeds all day long! The car also has power steering installed and updated to 12 volt electrical system with alternator. It also has new radial tires for traction and ride comfort. This car rides better than my new Lincoln MKX! I'll take you a ride in both and prove it to you. If you have considered buying an old body and restoring yourself, please check out what the parts cost to restor it and ask someone who has done one how many hours it takes. It is very easy to spend over $20,000 on just parts and supplies for a restoration plus all your labor. You can buy this car for about 1/2 what it cost to build. If you have any questions please let me know. I have driven this car to numerous car shows and would trust it personally to drive anywhere. I did not mention rust issues because there are none! No holes and no bubbles! These bodies were never prone to rust problems. I encourage you to inspect this car personally. Because this is a used car and is selling for far below what it cost to restore, is sold as is where is with no warranty given or implied.
