Vehicle Detail

Before I start with the details this is not a show car. It has not been restored and I may miss something here or there, but this is as accurate as I can be within reason. I will probably list more bad than good to avoid issues the best I can. It is a very nice car. If you have a specific question please ask. Please look at the pictures. This car starts right up every time. It runs wonderfully. It could use the carb gone through at some point, but it does happily purr as is. It is the original "Spitfire" 6 cylinder and does not smoke, miss, etc. Oil pressure is solid. The motor is matched to the original "Fluid Matic Drive" transmission. It shifts in all gears as it should. The gas tank was replaced. Master cylinder was rebuilt and the shoes and wheel cylinders were replaced. Brakes work perfectly. Tires have 90% tread. 8Volt battery that is good. Car charges normally. We put a few miles on the car yesterday in 100+ degrees without incident. Doors, trunk and hood open and close normally. Windows roll up and down normally. Mechanically solid. I have not played with everything on the car but here is what I know. Oil pressure and temp both work. Horn works. Gas gauge and speedo do not work and amps do move but I have not studied it. Some lights work, some don't. Think a bit of wiring would fix most anything that is not working on this car. It has a few things that I suppose are part of the "Deluxe". Inside hood release that works, some sort of ventilation or air system that seems additional/original. The parking brake does zippo currently. The car as had one repaint from what I can tell. I am not sure of when. There are a few areas that have issues but overall the paint looks pretty good. Easily a driver as is. See photos of the worst areas. (under gas filler, bottom right of trunk lid) The floors are super. Few small areas with surface rust but that is it. Trunk is fantastic. Underneath looks solid as well. I tried to take photos of all. The areas pictured are representative of the entire underneath. Glass is ok. One bullseye in windshield good other than that. Passenger side window cracked. Both back windows nice, rear good. Vent windows solid but yuck. Padded dash will need recovering but the rest looks pretty nice. Did I mention look at the pictures? There is a replacement for the back brake lense included. There is no carpet which is why floors look so nice. Front seat looks to have been covered once but the rest appears to be completely original. Pictures tell most of the story. This is a running, driving 2dr club coupe. With minimal effort can be driven as is, or a solid foundation making an easy restoration. Great sheet metal like this is hard to find!
