Here is a nice 1970 Corvette convertible with a # matching engine with 68,000 original miles. This Car was in the same family since new before I purchased it. GM went on strike in 1970 and production was halted until January so only 17,000 corvettes where produced that year. Normally about 35,000 corvettes where produced annually so this is a low production year!!! Only 6,800 big blocks where produced that year and far less where put into convertibles. This is also the last year for smog free Corvette as this was the last year for a 390 HP engine. After 1970 the horse power dropped each year. This car also comes with a hard top! This card was in storage for 15 years before I located it. To properly get the car back up to running condition all fluids where changed and most gaskets where replaced. New BF Goodrich white letter tires where installed and new shocks as well as new rubber bushings on the car where replaced. Brakes where gone through as well and work great and the master cylinder was replaced as well. The carburetor was rebuilt as well as the starter and work well. I also installed the correct complete aluminized exhaust on the car as well. The interior has new correct seat covers and new door panels. We also replaced the oil pump and gas lines and dropped the gas tank to clean it. I have the tank sticker as well. Also all the wipers and lights that use the vacum system work great as well. Also the light iluminators on the dash work as well. The frame appears in great shape also. The car is painted in the original Bridgehampton Blue and has black interior. I am not sure if it is the original paint or not. The vinyl top is nice and looks great; I have never had the hard top on the car. The car has an automatic transmission as well as power steering and power brakes and AM/FM stereo and luggage rack. The car runs good and will make a nice daily driver. This car sounds great and is a real eye catcher. I think I have covered everything. Any questions feel free to ask or stop by for a drive! I have put a low reserve on this car to put it into someone elses hands and let them take it to the next level of a full restoration. This car is not mint but with a little elbow grease you own a legand and something that will only appreciate! Those are the good points. Here are the other lower points. . The clock does not work and the alternator gauge is showing a negative charge but the alternator is charging. Probably just a ground wire. The hard top is missing the head liner. They can be purchased online. The parking brake does not work at this time. There are some small nicks on the car but I feel a little touch up and the car will look like new again. No real issues just nicks from sitting in a garage for 15 years. That is it if you have any questions just shoot me an e-mail.
