You are bidding on a 1997 Volkswagen Passat TDI Diesel!!! This is a NO RESERVE Auction!!! I'll cover as much about the car as I can, the Good, The Bad and The Ugly and I have taken as many pictures as possible. This car would make a great bio-diesel or SVO(Straight Vegetable Oil) project! The Good: Timing belt has about 40000 miles. Tires are in good shape... Plenty of tread, and about 1 year old. Engine runs great, I used as a commuter car so turbo is still strong. Replaced brakes, calipers and rotors about 1 year ago. Replaced front and rear wheel bearings, cv joints and shafts 6 months ago. The A/C compressor was replaced 3 years ago and works, but the system needs to be charged. The Bad: The drivers front door opens from the inside only but is difficult, and the inside handle assembly is loose, and the window works but the glass comes out of the slide, so I leave it closed. The passenger front door window is intermittent. The drivers rear window is not working from the switch, but will with the door lock, and will only open from the inside. The passenger rear door will not open because the child safety latch was flipped and the outside handle does not work. Windshield has several cracks. The catalytic converter has been removed and replaced with exhaust pipe. Casset player does not work. The Ugly: The clear coat is coming off in several places and there are a few small areas with body rust. The headliner has come off. The drivers front and passenger rear seat are torn. A couple small pieces of moulding are missing. Payment and Shipping: Payment must be recieved within 7 days of sale. I will ship or sign over the title as soon as funds have cleared.
