Vehicle Detail
"Two Lane Blacktop"1970 Pontiac Lemans GTO Judge Tribute This 1970 GTO Judge Tribute like the one in "Two Lane Blacktop" is finished in stand out “Orbit Orange” with correct GTO hood, Judge rear spoiler, and correct Judge decals and stripes. It started life as a rust free Pontiac Lemans California car that I purchased it back in 2004. I took my time making my vision of a fun driveable GTO Judge. I wanted a Judge that I could drive, here there and anywhere.....I wanted to be able to take it to dinner, cruise from town to town and knew I wouldn't feel comfortable driving around in a REAL $40,000 GTO Judge! So here you have the next best thing and at a affordable price. When I got her 7 years ago, she was in excellent shape and had an extremely straight and rust free body so I wasted no time getting her into paint. The obvious choice was "Orbit Orange" paint that is just like the one in the Movie.....This to me was a very iconic color and unique to the 1970 model year. You are sure to stand out from the crowd and make heads turn. The car has a solid built 350 motor and a 3 speed automatic transmission. It has a mild cam so it has a nice lope. The exhaust stops before the rear axle to give her she a throaty exhaust sound. The kind of car your are proud to pull up to a stop light in. She runs and drives great, steers good, brakes good, and drives straight down the road. Over the years, she has been featured in a couple of Muscle Car Review Magazines, about making a Tribute car. And that's about where I got busy with several other projects and tucked this baby in the corner, I know "Don't ever put Baby in the corner!" Now being a few years later and getting ready to move, it is time to let someone else finish this awesome car! Don't get me wrong this not your traditional project, this is a running and driving street machine with a very nice paint job and I would consider her 90% done. Mostly just dont want to mislead someone...but truely I think every muscle car always could use a little something. Here is a chance to buy a nice driving, good looking muscle car for the price of most projects! You can hop in and drive it home now and finish the items I mentioned as you see fit.... To sum it up: She needs a headliner installed, the front lower valance, bottom half of the rear panels and the dash has cracks in it. She is a GREAT car at a GREAT price! Condition: The body is straight and Rust Free with a almost show quality paint job (the only reason I say almost is that the very back of the trunk behind the spoiler is a little shade darker) I have posted a picture that shows it. Please if you can come see it in person because it is a extremely nice paint job! The interior is in very nice shape with new carpet and door panels, recovered factory bucket seats and all new weather stripping. It needs a headliner and the bottom portion of the rear interior panels. The dash has cracks which will need to be repaired or replaced. The engine is a 350 with a mild cam which sounds great and has plenty of power. She doesn't overheat and there is no starting issues, I can park her for 6 months and go out and pump the gas a couple of times and she will fire up the first time! She is a very no nonsense Muscle Car that could be used everyday as a daily driver! The transmission is a 3 speed automatic that shifts smoothly and runs great at 70 miles an hour down the highway! The Tires are a few years old, but in great shape with about 90% tread left. Please Read: Offered by Jeff 818-398-1829 at Classic Motor Cars a licensed Texas Dealer.
