This is a very clean 1949 Studebaker ½ ton pickup, model 2R5. It’s a great old Stude, currently registered and insured, that I’ve really enjoyed owning for the past 7 years. Remember, this is not a restored show truck, but rather a well-kept driver. I hate to see it go, but I have other projects to work on, so it’s time to let the next owner enjoy it. It has brand new STA tires and tubes by Coker. It has an older repaint in the original red color, still presentable. There is no apparent rust. It has good leatherette seat upholstery and the headliner has been upholstered. It runs great, engine purrs like a kitten. It has been garaged indoors since the mid 80’s. Odometer shows 33,000 miles, but the speedometer is inoperative, probably needs a cable. The brakes need overhaul, they pull to one side. The carburetor has a flat spot. It has a brand new 14 gallon aluminum gas tank mounted in the bed with all new lines and filter. I’ll also include the original fuel filler neck and cap, in case the next owner wants to install a tank in the original location, or just to fill the opening that is there now. It recently received a complete tune-up, with new plugs, points, rotor, cap, and wires. It has a new battery and a new starter switch. It comes with new brake cylinder overhaul kits, rebuilt mechanical fuel pump, original heater, new original ignition switch with keys, NOS dimmer switch, NOS pedal pads, NOS tailgate hinges, new door rubber and one spare new tube.
