1980 Suzuki GS

I am the original owner of this 1980 Suzuki GS850G. I put all the miles on back between 80 and 84 with my wife and then the bike got parked when the family started.It was in storage until the last few years when the kids were grown. It still is a great bike with many, many miles left on it if you are familiar with the GS series. You must be if you are looking at this year range of Suzuki's. In the last few years I put on new tires (less than 1k miles on tires), battery, a new windshield, plugs, all the fluids and just changed out all the carb and manifold o-rings and gaskets. It runs great, I still think the Suzuki GS's are some of the best UJM's ever and is a great touring bike, Very comfortable seat for 2 up all day riding. I just don't have the time or inclination to put serious miles on it any more. Cosmetically, it's not the original burgundy. I changed the tank and front fender with some ebay replacements in black, due to dings during 20 years in storage and several moves.So the side covers and tail piece were resprayed black to match..The left side cover does not latch, the lower attach point snapped where fits in the rubber O-Ring in the frame. Could be fixed or just find another side cover on ebay. I do have the front and rear side maker reflectors. In response to one question, yes it is currently running, I had it out last weekend. Runs smooth and strong.
