1965 Mercury Cyclone Comet A code 289 4V 4 speed. Lets start by the data tage body is 63E, color is J, trim is 85 date is 05L,DSO is 26, axle is 1, and trans is 5. This is a true cyclone 4 speed comes with the original engine, but not the trans or hump or shifter. Lets go over the car it self, i bought two of these cars from a very dear friend of mine intending on fixing one of them. Saddly this will not be the cause as things in my camp have not allowed me to do so. I have to many projects and none getting done. Maybe with this going to a good home it will once a gain be it former self. That will also allow me to finish some of my other stuff.He had had these cars for a very long time the blue one i sold last year he had owned since the late 60's and this one he got some time in the early to mid 70's. The car has been hit on the Lt fender , but shows no structure damage past that. for some reason some one in times has removed the draglink. There is no frame damage or structure damage that i see , and i am a body man by trade.Hood is in very nice shape no issues exect one very small rust spot on rt front lip. It has no hood hinges on it now either. Lt quarter is not rusted out at the bottom and is in nice shape. The lt door is nice has one small rust spot on the bottom underneth side. Lt fender is of course junk. Grille is nice and so is the hard to find grille surround and cyclone only emblem and not all pitted up. Rt fender looks to be nice no rust issues there either.Rt door looks well to even underneth.Rt ouarter is rusted out at the bottomas is the trunk pan and extentions. Tail pan has some damage . The three piece cyclone trim is there and in good shape considering. one tail light is the the other is broken. Trunk it self is rusty at lip and one spot in the center is rusted due to a tire setting there for years.Front Lt floor board is rusted out , rt side is in good shape as is the back floors and frame rails and tork boxes.The moter is the original 289 4v A code all complete minus the carb and air cleaner. Has the carter push button pump , but it is damaged at the bottom.The block has froze in time and busted, so please know and consider that. I took a picure of it, it may fix it may not. The interior has both bucket seats frams look good drivers side is a bit worse than the passenger. back seat is complete . This car was afactory Rally Pac car , which it is long gone. Cyclone emblems are present oo both inside doors all outside quarter emblems are gone. All glass is there and in good shape. .Pedals are present in car, but is it missing colume and dash cluster.
