Vehicle Detail
This is an older restoration that's showing signs of needing some updating. I bought it as a project car 2 1/2 years ago for my son & I to update a little at a time. He totally lost interest & so did I, especially when the economy took a downturn . It's been been garaged the whole time & taken out usually once a month just to run around the neighborhood. I purchased off of e-bay from guy in Connecticut who didn't know the history of the car. The only things I have had done to the car were to replace the battery(with an Interstate), have the radiator rebuilt & change the oil , fluids & plugs. THINGS THAT NEED WORK:1. Column shifter is loose & I was told by a mechanic that the linkage probably needs to be adjusted2. Paint- Is a 10 footer, showing some cracking ,chips & nicks, some rust spots starting to show on the bottoms and under the doors3. Weatherstripping needs replacing4. Convertible Top works fine mechanically but is weathered & cracking around the edges & needs to be replaced at some time5. Front bumper has a dent & is starting to show some pitting, needs to be rechromed or replaced if dent can't be fixed6. Since the car hasn't been driven much it needs to be totally gone through before putting it on the road7. INTERIOR: Rip in driver side front seat (about 8 inches long) and 2 small holes. Bracket on the outside of Passenger Frontseat is cracked in the back needs to be replaced8. Passenger side Visor Bracket is cracked and needs to be replaced9. Wrinkle in the passenger side of dashboard10. Small dents in trimThe car has a 352 Cleveland Engine that always starts and runs smoothly,Transmission is a Ford Cruise-O-Matic that shifts smoothly. I've tried to be as honest as I can about all the defective areas on this vehicle. It is a nice car overall for 47 years old & a great candidate for an updated restore. I've tried to show in the pictures all the problem areas in the paint & interior problems mentioned. I'd say it's really a 10 to 12 footer. I just want to represent it's" real condition" and not screw somebody with overhype & non realistic descriptions. Here are the pictures I took yesterday and if there are any questions you can call me at 913 481-2145 and ask for Jay or e-mail at mp_jhawk@yahoo.com,
