1960 Bug – Full body off restoration about 6 six years ago of an original rust free never wrecked Arizona car and has been garage kept ever since. Trans is out of a ’67 bug and rebuilt by Arizona Transaxle Exchange. New 1776cc dual port engine built by Competition Engineering with all new goodies including a new case, counter weighted crank, Engle 110 cam, balanced, new pistons and liners, new heads, clutch, alternator, carb, etc etc. Tires are Denmann wide white walls including a brand new spare tire. Interior was redone with a stock new headliner, German squareweave carpet and stock seats wrapped in grey tweed. Koch’s restored steering wheel. Car came equipped with the unusual and rare thermometer style fuel gauge. The face of the gauge was messed up so there is a Wolfsburg sticker in the face but everything else is there and hooked up. Reproduction faces are available at a reasonable price. This is a great car with no issues. Ready to drive anywhere and still very presentable for having been restored 6 years ago. It has only been driven about 7,000 miles since redone. My dad uses it to go to the gym, grocery store and the occasional Sunday cruise. The car does have a few rock chips in the paint but overall is still in amazing shape considering this is no trailer queen and driven a couple of times a week. Wood slat roof rack included. My dad is now retired and cannot justify keeping two cars as toys so this one is for sale. Car has a clean Arizona title in my dad’s name and is currently registered and insured.
