About 2 years ago I thought it would be a great idea to buy this little gem, fix 'er up, and use it for a daily driver with some fun on the weekends. Best laid plans... First thing I did was have a local shop (Land Cruiser Specialists) fix or replace all the clearly broken stuff: F&R main sealClutch & Clutch Slave Cylinder Brake BoosterSuspension and steering bushingsValve Cover SealStarter (got the hi-torque one, yo)Battery & TrayRadiatorFuel Tank Next it was over to the best muffler guys in the world to get the exhaust redone, and to the best upholsterers for to recover the seats. Found a top & doors that wasn't rusting apart, put them on Found a hood that fit better, did the same Hacked a bike mount onto the front bumper because it's the perfect spot to put a bike mount Put a seat in the back to take the kids to school (they love it back there) Hitch wiring and hondo drawbar to tow stuff, because you can that's why. All the gauges work, there's a center console w/cd player that I took out. It starts on the first crank after sitting for a week. Really. And now, it has to go. It was easily the most expensive hobby I've had, and probably the most fun. You should buy this and get it painted your favorite color. It's the only vehicle I've been in where people give you the 'thumbs up' just for driving it. And it will go anywhere you point it, if you're into that kinda thing. I'm supposed to put something about "shipping and payment" at this point. You have to come get it, and you have to pay me for it.
