Vehicle Detail
Ok, so here I go. This is a very nice 56 Ford and runs and drives like you can't believe. I would drive this car anyplace I wanted to go with no worries, other than being warm cause it doesn't have air conditioning. The motor has about 20,000 miles since it was rebuilt, and runs like it. The Ford-o-matic works well and shifts like a dream. The car now has two speed electric windshiel wipers so you don't have to worry about running out of vacuum any more going uphill (all us old guys remember losing the wipers in the middle of a long hill). The seats have been reupholstered and the carpet is an almost new kit. The radio doesn't work because I haven't put it in, but it does work and goes with the car. It has power steering that was completly rebuilt recently so it doesn't leak fluid, and it works better than my new car. The brakes have been relined recently and although they are not power, work very well. The entire front end has been rebuilt, and the front cross member was rusty so that was replaced. The paint is about six years old, and looks very good except for a few places where it has been door dinged. I had the only rust spots repaired (professionally done) when the car was repainted so there is no rust on this car anywhere, as you can see by the pictures of the trunk. The door panels are original but are in very good condition. The car has seatbelts that are newer and work fine. The tires are fairly new Cokers, and the wheels are powdercoated black, and are 15 inch newer Ford wheels so they work with radials. The original wheels go with the car, one in the trunk, and the other three in a separate picture. Also included if the buyer wants them the fender skirts pictured, which are in good shape but will have to be painted to match the car. The only thing that hasn't been finished about the car is the headliner, which is still in the car but has several rips that have been taped up. Let me know if there is anything else you would like to know about the car. I have owned it for about 10 years and it was "in the family" for at least ten years before that.
