Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a classic, period correct cafe racer as built by Perry Bushong of BMW Fort Worth, (now known as Perry's sidecars) in 1976. 1975 R75/6 that was modified in 1976 with the BMW fairing, full house motor, etc. (upgrades include R90 twin disc front end, brevetatto clip-on bars, guage package, etc. engine upgrades were 900cc cylinders, dual spark plugs, ported and polished, bing racing floats, lightened flywheel, modified airbox, dual plugged heads, etc. etc.) Current mileage is 27,363, and is ready to ride anywhere. New tires and battery were installed last summer (Michellin Macadams). This winter, fluids were changed, splines lubed, etc. The only issues with this bike are, clear coat is fading on top surfaces of fairing only, (tank and fenders are fine) Speedometer is starting to occasionally bounce but is still accurate, gauge set is pretty much decorative, (1970's mechanical guages) dual spark coils failed, and were reverted to single spark coils, with the timing reset to single specs. Clear title in hand, Fly in and ride home is an option, or I can deliver to Forward Air at D/FW airport if needed(for additional fee), or bike is located at a business location in Dallas with dock, and ramps if other transport is arranged by buyer. Bike is on display in Dallas TX., and all are welcome to come by and look it over. Location is, Visit: 1201 N Riverfront Blvd Dallas, TX 75207 Call for directions only: (shop keeper knows nothing about the bikes) (214) 741-4411 fax (214) 741-4466 Hours: Monday - Saturday: 10:00 - 5:00 Sunday: 1:30 - 5:00 I added 3 pictures to show the clear coat that is failing, but unfortunately they arent very clear. this is where the clear coat has faded/ started to bubble up, and could be sanded and re-shot without too much trouble. Also, I forgot that the original headlight lens has a bullseye in it, I have a N.O.S. lens that will also come with the bike. Any other questions, feel free to email me, or call my cell at 325-214-0884 anytime before 10pm CST. Thanks for looking...James
