I've had this car for years. We are the third owner and have put the majority of the miles on it. This car was mostly used for travel; Family Vacations and out of town work. Unfortunately, I was driving around recently and started hearing a weird noise coming from the engine, which got progressively worse until I had to pull over. I then had the car towed to the GMC dealership for a diagnosis. they told me that a bearing in the engine had gone out, which I was afraid off. The quote they gave me to fix this problem is probably more than the car is worth. My other option is to rebuild the motor myself, but I just don't have the time or space necessary. So, that being said, I am going to cut my losses and hopefully find someone that can fix the problem and have a great vehicle. The engine is the 5.7 350. This engine is very common and parts are cheap. If you had the time, you could rebuild the top and bottom for just a couple hundred dollars in parts. I do have a video of the the car idling which will give you an idea of the noise heard from the engine. Will email upon request. so.... The bad: Engine needs repairAC does not blow coldfront driver seat seam came open. approx. 6incup holder in front is stuck out, I think something fell behind it.cup holder in back got over extended and popped out. can be fixed with a few screws.3rd row seat belt on driver side is cut. Although this car shows normal wear and tear expected for a 12 year old vehicle, the interior and exterior is, in my opinion, above average. I would drive this car until the wheels fell off if i could afford it.
