Vehicle Detail

A rare chance to acquire a Triumph vintage roadracer that has a long track history. This Triumph was raced in the Northwest OMRRA & WMRA vintage series from about 1991 to 2000. It's best result was second place in the vintage 500 championship. It is not possible to give a complete rundown on the specs in this listing, so I will hit the high spots, and anyone with serious interest can e-mail me for more info, and track photos if required. I have included many photos that accurately describe the bike, including some action shots covering a few years. The motor has one race after a total rebuild. It uses a pre-hemi squish band head with Daytona valves, custom 10-1 Arias pistons, and black diamond valves. It has Megacycle Kenny Harmon cams. This engine has a very rare Tri-Cor factory close ratio 4 speed gear box, and Barnett clutch. It runs a Boyer total loss ignition, and 26mm Mikuni carbs. Up front are 35mm RZ-350 forks in Ceriani clamps, a Suzuki 4LS brake with Ferodo AM4 linings by Vintage Brake. On the rear are Koni adjustable shocks, and a scarce small Rickman conical brake It runs on Akront alloy rims and Avon tires. The Evan Wilcox tank and seat were among his first commercial projects, and I believe photos of this bike are still on his website. The bike is shown with an Evan Wilcox made exhaust, but also included is a two into one system make by him as well. The oil tank is an original 1960's item from Cycle Hub. The fairing is a custom one off, and the moulds are included in the auction, in case you need spares! The bike needs a new wind screen. The bike has not been started in years, but is guaranteed to have no issues. I put on a new fairing lower that I had, but the old beat up one is here also. This great old Triumph could with a bit of updating be made into a competitive AHRMA 500 GP bike, or parade lap showpiece. I am offering this bike one time only in the hopes that a buyer will put it back on the track where it belongs. If not, it goes back to it's corner of the shop. This Triumph comes with a bill of sale only, and buyer is to arrange for pick up in, or shipping from Portland Oregon. Cash or certified check only.
